I went, and the sound was shit all night. Browney kept disappearing off stage to have a go at someone because of the sound.

That weeks NME gave the gig a rave revue, but everyone there including the band knew it was a shit.

Not lost, Roses blocked the release cos the sound was so shite - Ian says he sounded so bad because he couldn't hera a thing. Apparently Tony Wilson had it on VHS and played it to friends at parties. Hopefully it will come out one day - along with the mythical Spike Island footage.

Got this bootleg in the Barras in Glasgow 1990... unfortunately the fuckin tinker that taped it had The Style Council on the tape before putting the gig on (so all the way thru there are undercurrents of that cunt Weller ruining the experience!)
