I felt that he really lacked on the acting portion of the song. He didn't look like he was going through the trials and tribulations of Albin, and for that I disliked it. I don't know if anyone will ever live up to the standard of George Hearn's perfect mix of beautiful vocals and acting capabilities on this great song.

I must say this is a different version of John barrowman singing it to what i have seen before, and he is much better at it in this one than his other. I originally thought he was no good at it but after seeing him sing it this time, he was great!!!

@GBEHNCP I don't want to speak out of turn here at all, but it has to be said that you have clearly missed the whole point about this song along with 22 others! Your opposing (top comment) argument now stands at 56 and you can you add me to that list. You are clearly looking for the ovation which rarely happens in the real world and sometimes banging your own drum ain't all it's cracked up to be but it needs no excuses if that is your choice !! @Rao16026 - He's been a leading man in the musical theatre world in the West End - UK primarily for over twenty years, but also on Broadway. He's not just "Captain Jack" in Torchwood, this guy is a multi-talented entertainer.

i sung this for my final performecn at acting college and i should stres that i am not a singer at all and iv never had training but when i herd john singing this song i fell in love with it and as ppl thought i was a bit wird cos i am diffrnt then the norm but this song ment the world to me as i ment every word yes i am diffrent and yes i have a med con but that dont define me I am who i am and if you dont like it then so wt I AM WHAT I AM and all ways will be :D

WE were soo fortunate last fall to catch John in LONDON performing at The Victoria in La Cage. It was amazing as he is. John Barrowman - beautiful voice - beautiful person inside and out!

@freakenproduction He sang this song with a gorgeous and beautiful voice, I'll give you that. But being one of the few people that disliked this video I'll explain my reasoning. I felt that he really lacked on the acting portion of the song. He didn't look like he was going through the trials and tribulations of Albin, and for that I disliked it. I don't know if anyone will ever live up to the standard of George Hearn's perfect mix of beautiful vocals and acting capabilities on this great song.

@freakenproduction And I know you may say that George Hearn isn't gay whereas John Barrowman is, but I see and hear WAY more emotion and struggle from George than I see from John when he sings it.

i've to agree that his performance of this is amazing and loaded with emotions.
i love it except for the few flat notes in the earlier part of the song, his intonation's better in the Sound of Musicals version though i prefer this interpretation :D
got to salute him though, really hard to sing in tune with heavy emotions
