That's the truth. Belts take many years from Ralph. I can't vouch for the rest of the family, but it's a 3-5 year process to get a blue belt at Ralph Gracie.

@mitruxx Really? I know someone where I train, and it took him a little over a year ( which is a ralph gracie school). Is that normal, or does not it depend on the frequency of practice

Gracies don't give any belts away whatsoever. Each one involves a tremendous amount of work.
