This is a classic example of biased, sensationalist, inaccurate western news reporting.

First, they're comparing a developed Chinese city with a North Korean farm, then at 1:15 he says "one of the most highly developed parts of North Korea".

The narrator news voice is very casual too, this is not real journalism.

@killy731 Or is it your misunderstanding of what the reporter is saying? By North Korean standards the place might indeed be highly developed, but compared to Chinese standards it's still crap.

Though I must say that I have been in Dandong several times, they try to make it into another big port. It's one of the cities the government puts a lot of money in. Even by Chinese standards it kinda stands out, so I'm not sure if it's a fair comparison.

I find it weird China and Russia both have had past that are borderline North Korea like and yet neither one seems to do much if not anything, mainly Russia which has changed the most since the cold war.

I find it weird that the suffering is a known feeling and yet neither try to help.

North Korea could follow the path of reforms, such as China, Vietnam, Kuba.Esli not it will be very poorly throughout the region.

Dudes, China IS MORE DEVELOP than North Korea no disagreement there but then comparing Dandong to Sinuiju is a bit extreme and a South Korea thing to do I am sorry no offense :)

Dandong is an industrial SEZ. Sinuiju is a FACTORY TOWN that does job work for Dandong based SEZ's. At least compare Dandong with a proper North Korean city like Kaesong or a proper city like Nampho, not a factory town lik Sinuiju.

If u compare Sinuiju to a factory town in China it is not dat much diff 2 b honest tho
