Kilpatrick and Conyers have helped me to decide that I will not settle in Detroit. My issue is not just with them, but also with the voters who elected them. If the culture in Detroit is such that the majority approve of Conyers and Kilpatrick, there is no hope for the future of the city.

Ms. Conyers needed to get educated about parliamentary procedure before coming onto the council. The President was not disrespecting her by not allowing her to interrupt him while he had the floor. She may have wished to take over the questioning and interrupt with comments whenever she wished, but that is not parliamentary procedure and she was out of order. She was perfectly able to ask all the questions she wanted WHEN she had the floor. If anything, she disrespected the council president .

As someone who grew up in southeastern Michigan but who has spent much of my life working outside of Michigan, I face a decision about where I will ultimately settle down.
Kilpatrick and Conyers have helped me to decide that I will not settle in Detroit. My issue is not just with them, but also with the voters who elected them. If the culture in Detroit is such that the majority approve of Conyers and Kilpatrick, there is no hope for the future of the city.
