Thanks for posting this. Joining the Marines or any branch in the military was never an option for me because of a medical condition that I have. But I've always had the most enormous respect for every person who goes through this and serves our country. @TheOnikitsu Not really... They do it on purpose to confuse you. That's the whole mental aspect of combat to begin with, so it's a pretty damn good simulation.

If you think it's bad with one DI, imagine what 3 or 4 DI's are like all at once. Each is asking you to do a different task --and you the recruit-- are expected to respond with the proper terminology reflecting all that's being forged onto you. It's a mighty workload to be able to concentrate and follow obedience to orders.

If you don't have at least a first class PFT then you will never be promoted past E3 and a 1st class PFT is 3 miles in under 20 minutes at least 18 pull ups and 100 sit ups in two minutes
