  • i was right there...it may be the greatest OH Shit moment of my life.

  • can't wait to go through this

  • does the DI have a lisp?

  • @friar1219 why dont you ask him

  • Thank God somebody still knows how to turn boys into men! And, thank God for the men and women who have the balls to protect all of us.

  • Is it a big problem that I don't understand what they are saying ???

  • Ok I can already see one problem I'm gonna have when I go, I can't understand a GODDAMN word that DI is saying......

  • @papacharlie123 you get used to it pretty quick. just watch what everyone else is doing.

  • @papacharlie123 you learn to understand them

  • @papacharlie123 yeah me too

  • only black dude 5:32

  • @XxD3VAST8T1ONxX I counted five, you need to be more observant.

  • Sad how all these fat bodies sitting behind the computer pretend like they can "laugh at these DIs". Fat pigs disgust me. KILL!

  • gotta love the scary frog voice....-___-

  • I ship out in 2 days, and I watch this video everyday and it scares me more and more each day lol.

  • @usmc0109 Good luck and god bless you!

  • @usmc0109 be strong you can do it!!!!!

  • how can they POSSIBLY tell what he is saying??

  • @korgboy98 You have to PAY THE FUCK ATTENTION. Its easy to understand when you are SERIOUSLY focused.

  • Respect. That's the word.

  • Leaving March 12th Im so FUCKING READY

  • @anewell41 Which MCRD?

  • @wbtrump Parris Island

  • @anewell41 no one is fucking ready

but it will be worth it.

  • @anewell41 Free tip! It will seem so much easier if you show up in shape. Draws less attention when you can do the physical part without them riding your azz! lol As far as the mental parts? Good luck brotha! You will never regret joining once you graduate.

  • @3535kevin you can understand all them perfectly when there. This video doesn't do it justice.

  • they look so young doing that

  • Ah...the memories!

  • i got to boot camp in august i cant wait oorah

  • My basic training was tough but at least we had a DI who would could understand

  • @3535kevin we could

  • should say understand. they say yes sir then go about their day. waste of time in my opinion. i know they practice respect but this is absurd

  • Thanks for posting this. Joining the Marines or any branch in the military was never an option for me because of a medical condition that I have. But I've always had the most enormous respect for every person who goes through this and serves our country. I've always wondered what it would be like when you first arrived at boot camp, and now I know.

  • wow what memories, I graduated from PI on October 7 1980 A Co 1st Battalion Plt 178...I spent four years on Parris Island 1975-1979.after graduation and had the pleasure to meet my Drill Instructor's after Graduation, I have never met such dedicated passionate men in all my Life, The time on the Island shaped the man I am and who I am...so for my Drill Instructors, Thank you

  • Ahhh what sweet bitter memories October 1980 I was there. Gunny kept stuttering. funny shit. I still don't know what the hell he said half the time but you just follow everyone else. I know at that time I just wanted to shit my pants.. I especially remember the DI coming on the bus and saying you have 3 seconds to get off my bus and 2 are already gone. Pray to GOD for the last one off. WTF am I doing here.... lol

  • Gqowiandfdsqudnvllfasfl. you understand??

    AYE AYE SIR!!!

  • I was talking about an NJROTC you made, im assuming you went to San Deigo because of the nature of this video. If you did go to San Diego in September than i saw you guys. As for the "recruit highway," that is a strip of pavement that goes along the recruit side of MCRD SD.

  • Do you understand? Aye Aye Sir! HAHAHA

  • i dont get the red bin part. i couldnt understand the DI, what was he saying

  • no more good wars to fight...

  • @Noobssuckass300

As long as humans exist, there will be plenty of good wars to fight.

  • I'm going here this week for NJROTC trip. A little nervus but still excited.

  • @0909bram36 i went in september its crazy but ur not treated like an actual recruit

  • @Vion646 Wait a minute did you guys march down the recruit highway in your "uniforms" when you did that visit?

  • @USMCSEMPERFI601 you talking about parris island when you go through the double hatches... that you only go through once

  • Holy shit I just saw SSgt. Martinez.

  • @Orthrus what? he crazy?

  • @OMGz1122

Nah, he was flat out the funniest Drill Instructor I've ever met. We all liked him. He knew what he was doing, taught us very well, and as far as I'm concerned would make a damn good Senior if he hasn't become one already.

  • Thumbs up if I should quit my cushion job, put my wife to the side, be a man, and join the Marine Corps....

  • @fanuvgod1

Fourteen "thumbs up" -- time to "man up"!

"Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have made a difference in the world. Marines don't have that problem." - Ronald Reagan

    Ooh-RAH!

  • @fanuvgod1 HAHAHAH Don't put her tho the side that would not make you a man but you should join do it for her you and your future that will make you a man semper fi and good luck bro

  • @fanuvgod1 - There are 3 ways you could go in life. Be Successful, Join the Military, or a Pointless Waste in Jail and or Drug Addict.

  • @joshua76az only one way to find out...

  • Not a problem understanding him...I guess you just have to be a Marine to understand "Marine," lol.

  • @shtrnd41 true that bro

  • haah those damn planes always making it impossible to hear the DIs..good times man

  • i guess if the DI didn't have a lisp, i would take him seriously.

  • @abcdog350 if he were in your face youd take him seriously regardless

  • @Vadion12 no doubt. i'm meaning in this context. when you aren't right in front of them, it's kinda funny but when you are there its different. trust me i know all about it xD

  • @abcdog350 were you at The Island?

  • hahaha... the DI said condom XD lmao

  • go to jail if you leave without authorization, lol at that point how bad did that sound to them?

I do have very much respect for them for their courageous decision to enlist

  • @falaqdad15 In the very beginning, anything sounds better then what your going through. The first 2 weeks are the fuckin worst.

  • "stop looking around!" was the most hilarious thing i heard. they way he said was fucking hilarious.

  • Im shipping to san diego for boot camp in one week. I really hope all those people filming this was just a one time thing.

  • I went to boot twice, Navy and Army! The only thing you need to know is you know nothing! Second time I went to boot, they just left me alone, because they knew there was really nothing they could say to intimidate me, I already knew the game! I just watched everyone's weapon, whenever they went some where!

  • holy shit i jus realized im in this video.. lol wtf Lethal Lima

  • @reck860.... first off im not talking any crap. Maybe you should go back and look at the comments. And my parents dont have a basement... and I live in my own house now. Soooo... And I am an army guy I dont know everything about the Marines... maybe you should go learn RESPECT, its obvious you never learned that in the CORPS. How about you ask your mommy what it is... and I said I respect all branches.

  • seriously. im enlisted and leaving for san diego in 3 months. im freaked out for when i get there i cant understand what the DI is saying all the time and i dont wanna screw up

  • Don't worry, I thought the same thing but you will catch on and fast. If you miss something, well just follow what the other recruits are doing. You are all going to mess up, even if you don't mess up.

  • @Hoemaker69 don't worry bout it bro. just got out last december - it's all a game man. Remember that. An Act.

  • Home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and that's no bluff! They're mighty and true, they protect our freedom for me and you. Honor Courage and commitment is what they're taught to do. It's all about protecting the red, white and the blue! Marines will never retreat, break or bend, they're ready to fight, attack and defend. I respect our military, and proud to say,God Bless this country and our brave men and women everyday, I'M PROUD TO BE AMERICAN, I LOVE THE USA !

  • I think only millitary police have arm band

  • @FIRSTJAY ... Thank you for correcting me. I was going to correct my comment but I had no time until now. Thats another reason why I love the Army. Keep in mind... as a soldier, and leader I strongly Respect ALL branches of the military as well. Thanks again hooah.

  • Oh and by the way stop talking trash on the Army, I don't know how many times we had to save the Marines butts. And the Army teaches RESPECT thats how I know half of you guys aren't in the service. Go back to playing your videogames and keep dreaming kids.

  • @bustedupXbox. Stop playing videogames you little kid. Every branch has an American patch on their uniforms.

  • @maxissbest I don't know what video games YOU'RE playing, but in the real world the Marines certainly do not wear a flag patch on their arm.

  • @maxissbest Shut the fuck up you video game playing in mommy's basement motherfucker! You obviously don't know shit, so stop talking shit about my beloved Corps!

  • I remember the receiveing barracks like it was yesterday. It hasn't changed in 44 years.

  • MACHT SCHNELL! :P

  • wh wh wh wh wh b b b b b b baa "I SIR!!!"

  • on both of my deployments i worked with the army idk see what all this army vs marines is about we are all brothers in arms if u have never done the stuff that we have done u have no room to talk i got ur back warden

    semper fi

  • @TheWarden93 I'm an army infantry soldier if youre a marine I got youre back cause we have the same flag on our shoulders , I have lots of marine friends and trust me you will learn how to respect the army if you dont youre not a man and you should just go another country I've seen toooo many soldiers in a black bag for you 17 year old to talk trash

  • @AWSOMELYRAW Correction Soldier, as Marines we were NO patches. But dont worry, bro, we got ur back also.

  • @AWSOMELYRAW #1 Try 36. Not 17. #2 It twas a joke. Im sure they didn't train your sense of humor out of you. #3 Everyone has each others back in all branches when it gets down to it. #4 Don't watch Marine videos if you cannot handle Marine jokes. #5 and final, one of my best friends is E-8 Army with 3 tours in the sand. Don't doubt my respect but don't envy the fact that, in my eyes, Marines get more.. Now im gonna burn this soapbox!

  • @TheWarden93 Oh! Forgot to mention! LCPL/USMC/Hon. Discharge in "97". That might explain alot to you, um, Awsomelyraw? lol Have a nice day....

  • prophylacticifyoudontknowwhatthatitsitsacondom

  • 5 people couldn't hack it

  • @TheOnikitsu Not really... They do it on purpose to confuse you. That's the whole mental aspect of combat to begin with, so it's a pretty damn good simulation.

If you think it's bad with one DI, imagine what 3 or 4 DI's are like all at once. Each is asking you to do a different task --and you the recruit-- are expected to respond with the proper terminology reflecting all that's being forged onto you. It's a mighty workload to be able to concentrate and follow obedience to orders.

    --Rob USMC

  • @TheOnikitsu Yeah to summarize this video, all I got was something about a mesh bag, Aye Aye Sir, Pornographic Material, Drugs, and reading something inside their heads

  • @TheOnikitsu As one who has stood on the yellow foot prints 40 years ago, I can tell you that it is just a little easier in person, yet you had BETTER understand what he's saying.

  • @TheOnikitsu They purposefully make it hard to understand them so they can easily pressure you. The first 2 weeks are the worst.

  • @TheOnikitsu yes it is much easier up close...or else your in for a lot of pain

  • @TheOnikitsu it's easy to understand him, when you've been there done that.

  • Why are nearly all of them wearing black?

  • ARMY; so easy a cave man can do it.

  • most of them are wearing black, they are already mourning their own slow death.

  • at 2:30 the D.I.s are like "yeahh we still go it"

  • ARMY? A-in't R-eady for the M-arines Y-et!! Semper Fi!!

  • @TheWarden93

    MARINE? M-y A-ss R-ides I-n N-avy E-quipment

  • @martz507 haha also the MENS DEPARTMENT of the navy.

  • @TheCschutterun

Being an Army combat veteran myself, I can agree with you about your statement.

  • Comment removed

  • @Gwunt

LOL yeah lol i play call of duty does that matter? no

honestly kid you're an idiot you go to a Marine Corps' video and post trash talk about how the Marines are lame then when i say you can't hack it you say the army has harder pt then when i prove to you they don't as my mom could easily score a perfect for the 22-26 section on the army PFT you proceed to say that because I play video games I am somehow wrong LOL

Kid I proved you wrong the USMC is a lot tougher then the army now GTFO

  • @Buffalo4Ever78 , It sounds like Major Payne haha

  • Is it bad that the only words I heard during the SDI's list of contraband items were prophylactic and condom?

  • I have a link to the whole movie of Ears Open eyeballs click, just message me and I'll get back to you ASAP.

  • @Str8Trapstar90 i would like that movie plz.

  • @Gwunt

LOL yeah okay you honestly think the army is tougher then the Marines in PT

If you don't have at least a first class PFT then you will never be promoted past E3 and a 1st class PFT is 3 miles in under 20 minutes at least 18 pull ups and 100 sit ups in two minutes

Please continue to post comments on Marine Corps' videos bashing them to make yourself feel better and tougher bro

  • AYE AYE SIR !!!!

  • i m in the ARMY but i love this video..my buddy just left today..this is what hes going through..its a trip.

  • 10 years in, 14 different countries, a dozen military schools, a war and friends that are more like my brothers... Priceless. I would do it all again!

  • And To Know I Get This In Two Years.(:

  • ???????????????????????????

  • hm the drill instructors yell, but they seem like normal people just doing their job.

  • just to think, most- if not all of these men on this vid are out there kicking ass today so sailors like me all have to do is deliver hot lead when directed as marines requested!

  • fuckin bag nasty recurits.. that's right look right at Gunnery Sgt. good to fuckin go

  • ill be there next summer

  • I think I just had a flashback. Some of the best and worst times in my life. AYE AYE SIR, AYE AYE SIR, AYE AYE SIR, AYE AYE SIR, AYE AYE SIR!!!!

  • I think I just had a flashback. Some of the best and worst times in my life.

  • THIS IS SPARTAAAAA!!!!!!

  • 0:33 "Stop looking around" hahahahaha

  • holy shit, I'm going to be doing this in eight months...

  • @marvelmax03191 i would reconsider lol jk its tough but its worth it once its all said and done

  • Comment removed

  • I bet most were thinking: "Damn! I should have gone to college..."

  • I didnt understand anything that guy said.

  • one of the DI's reminds me of my Platoon commander for MCJROTC

  • uh...is this late ate night or early in the morning

  • So do the overweight people i see in this video go to the fat farm? Cause some look like they need to lose 30 pounds

  • 4 people coudlnt handle the Marines

  • Where was this clip from? I've been trying to find a pretty good documentary for memories, and to show some civi pals.

  • My advice is to be strong and look them in the eye;"Theres no need to shout old chap , if you want me to do something ,ask me nicely"

    This will earn their respect.

  • @ilikezappa That's right. Make sure you say, "Hey Sarge, I can't understand you when you yell and bark like a dog!"

  • @SmilingMelvin Our Kill Hat was ok . His name was Dave and he was always stoned . We used to hang out on the beach at Parris Island , which is pretty nice and gets good waves.

    Semper Fi

  • Presidents come and go but the marine corps is eternal. GOD BLESS THE USMC

  • These guys are gonna be awake all night. :)

  • This is just the start. They aint seen nothin yet

  • @gameonandon

Well, what else could they do that is worse other than physical assault?

  • @dude58677 mentally break you down untill your 2" tall, boot camp is more of mental test than physical anyway.

  • LMAO fucking monkeys. You dont live life listening to poor bastards like that. You wanna loss 10 pounds do on a diet. If you have anger issues.. See a doctor.

  • hahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • I bet them DIs go home and smoke them a blunt

  • Now we let sodomites in the marine corps.....thank you Washington and our fascist commander in chief for crippling the greatest fighting force in the world! And yes I do discriminate against sodomites serving in the military for all you liberals out there to know.

  • @THEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR1 You do know that gay people have been serving openly in other countries, and there military have had no problems with it right?

  • damn some of these guys look younggg 0.o

  • fail... the guy in the blue at 2:09

  • @mrpeanutman222 What about him?

  • Haha the meaniest instructors are the puggy mexicans lol

  • Oh the memories this brings back

  • it's not helping seeing how the civilians are there with cameras in their faces to make vids like this. I mean, it's educational but come on... leave these men alone during these embarrassing times of growth.

  • @usmcrecruit100 - I leave oct 11 to boot camp as well. good luck to u, stay safe!

  • Hasn't changed much since I went through in '76, I am sure if the cameras weren't there. The DIs would have used choice profanties and colorful metaphors to motivate the recruits. Something reminiscing Full Metal Jacket.

  • This is where my brother gets to go in few days. I'm making him a cake with yellow footprints on it before he leaves.

  • @schatzi321 lmao

  • any idea what the company is and the date it was shot. it was uploaded like two weeks after i got to bootcamp.

  • I bet DI's have very high blood pressure.

  • I love how there's 20 jack-asses with cameras all around. It kinda serves to undermine all the empty threats that DIs like to spout out.

  • i have the same lanyard the camera guy has lol i leave oct 11 for basic

  • Anyone know if that senior drill instructor is Gunnery Sgt. Vargas?

  • @AkiraFollower Yeah, it is. I saw another video titled "Marine Insanity" of him at Receiving. He stated his name very clearly in that vid, and I recognize his voice. How do you know him?

  • @TheEagerMcBeaver Nice, I recognized his voice too. I remember him from basic; one can never forget a DI's voice.

  • @AkiraFollower yes, it is

  • is this reception?
