Chicago Marathon - One week away !! I would say this video pretty much nailed my first two marathon experiences (NY 1991) and (Marine Corps 1998).... Here's to feeling good for the last six !! :)
I ran this too -- finishing just over the 3:10 target I had (to Boston qualify). What a great race. The hill at mile 8 is not that bad. Very well organized race and very friendly people. Will consider doing it next year!
This is the St. George marathon. It was my 47th marathon. I jogged it very easy in sub 3:45. After 2 long hills in the first half, it is all down hill and flat to the finish. There are a couple of long and steep down hill part that are very hard on the quads. It is well organized and has great bomb-fires at the race start to keep warm while you are waiting around. That was the best part. If you are looking for an easy marathon, this is about as good as it gets. Hit it!
Running a marathon is an incredible expreience, I made 2 Chicago and last week in Montreal, running a Marathon it´s the hardest thing I made in my life but the feeling of being alive when you cross the finish line it´s incredible. I am still running the rest of my life
I about died, but I made it. Your brain can tell you what you want, but if you body says "I don't think so" it gets incredibly tough. I got to the point I thought I was going quickly but both feet literally never left the ground at the same time. That lasted the last 10-12 miles of the race. It is tough, but an amazing goal. What a great memory in 2008!

@kg062007 Just do it, brother. Watch the "Team Hoyt" video. If that doesn't give you the heart, then you probably don't have one.
