On this day we had a truck helping us with the cones. Now days, I carry a stack of the small cones in both my saddlebags because I am always looking for opportunities to use them, such as setting up a U-turn contest during a Poker Run or M/C Rally. After you have the corners set out for the course you can fill in the straight-a-ways with the rest.
I think I'll start calling this Hog-Cross, kinda like Motocross 'cept on Hogs and no dirt.
