well ya got ya way, their being locked up now and with their artifical floods i give it about 5 to 10 years and will be destroyed. it has survived 150 years or longer bcause next to that dead stomp if ya zoomed out you would see 4 or so new saplings ready to reach up and fill the canopy. i have one of the last forrest grazing licences and as the town knows an i invite any one to visit the gutrum is one of the healthest out of 4 nabouring closed forrest, but once locked up and fuel loads
Well done man. I felt joy in knowing there is a man in this society who is someone to be proud of.
I have spent days in the forest there looking for anything living on the ground. Did not find one ant or centipede after lifting many logs. Did find one 30 mm long lizard and one tiny spider. It seams to me something is very wrong. I speculate loggers use termite sprays no proof though.
It was one of the wettest weeks that week, did the red gum wood that you burnt keep you warm? HYPOCRITS!! And what about the people that rely on this industry to survive, have you an answer for that? Do you like Charcoal Chicken? gee i wonder were the charcoal comes from... and what about Toothpaste, filters in life saving Dialysis Machines and other everyday products.... you all need to get a life and leave those putting up with your crap to live theirs...
We are vegetarians. Do they make toothpaste out of Redgum trees? Thats value adding! And speaking of getting a life...If the government accepts the Buyout, Retraining and Redundancy packagesthat we've proposed the Crumps will be set for life.
well of course your vegies, and do i have to explain what part red gum plays in tooth paste.. you still never answered whether the wood you burnt was warm. The crumps maybe set for life but what about everyone else, are you proposing to train and offer redundancy packages to truck drivers, landscaping business, railway tracks will have no sleepers, garden supply businesses, furniture manufacturers, and how about all the people that will be cold with no wood. it is not just the crumps affected.
And where do you think the government is getting all this redundancy money from motherofdestruction? They are broke! thanks to people like you who dont work! You dont care that these people love what the do - they have cared for the forests long before you came along and we have more trees here now to show for it!
what a load of rubbish!!!! if you have another look at this the H spray painted on the trees stands for HABBITAT that means that these trees are not to be cut down, you don't mention that in ya pathetic video, the loggers have stricked guidlines to abide by, if the forrest was not sustainable as you morons have said, wouldn't the forrest be gone by now, and you don't show the kids sitting under the machinery, great parents you are, good to see where our Tax money is going to,.... GROW UP!!!
Allright we've grown up - now it's your turn. We were wondering how long it would take you to work out how to get around the block, but Chez, do you really want to lend your YouTube and email to others? Or are you a Crump too? Its very funny to have someone calling us morons when they obviously are having trouble with their spelling.
its like having 2 fat steers in a paddock and 20 skinny ones - sell the 2 fat ones and let the others grow and this cycle can repeat for eternity - with a couple of breedig cows thrown in ofcourse - its not rocket science you dole bludging communist
Except your cows are full of worms & are barren-what will you eat then?Have you read the Stern Report,Proff. Brendan Mackeys report,The Forest Wars by Dr.Adjani and the UN Charter on the Rights for Nature?Have you heard of Easter Island?Habitat trees thrown in-of course-except you have to wait 100 yrs.If your rocket science was so right you wouldnt need to be so abusive. What'll you eat when your water turns to dust?I know that its very hard to learn-but you could try-your kids will thankyou
Evidence given to a Senate Committee late last week has revealed that the Federal Government believes that controversial patch-clearfelling in the River Red Gum forests is damaging the ecological character of the Central Murray Ramsar wetland site.Senate Estimates hearings held on Thursday confirmed that the Federal Government found 'Australian Group Selection' logging practice or 'patch-clearfelling' is having a 'very significant impact' on the ecological character of the Ramsar wetlands.
The Federal Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts told the Senate Committee hearing, 'the concern is that clear felling in patches destroys the continuity of the tree canopy and that has a very significant impact on the ecological character of the Ramsar wetland, obviously where it is occurring within the Ramsar wetland, and elsewhere. By disrupting the continuity of the tree canopy it is having a significant impact on the habitat of nationally listed threatened species.'
I lived in Mathoura, many years ago, I know the people who's equipment is chained, I also know the man in this video!! How bizarre life can be 20 years on, all the places i have been and all the people i have met and it seems that you all are very dramatic about this whole situation, which makes finding a solution impossible, there is always a solution, but never in attacking one another
"verty dramatic" - when you cant work for over a week and have to tell your employees that you dont know when you will be able to start working again or they may not have a job - it is dramatic. We live in the real world and have bills to pay and commitments. These protestors are the ones that chose to break the law and make it an impossible situation rather than taking the appropriate action and lobbying government.
The only thing here that is illegal is the theft of the logging equipment, stolen from individuals with the correct documentation to log this area. If you are truly perpertraters of fact you would acknowledge that ramsar has the forest listed as of international significance in its present working form. As you know large trees that have reached the end of their life do not take the oxygen from the air only growing trees do that, a forest needs to be selectively harvested to be the EARTHS LUNGS
What about the people in "your town" that don't agree with logging the red gum forests. DON'T WE HAVE RIGHTS TOO? Are you going to come to our house with your flaming crosses and burn us out too ? Talk about "get a job", why didn't you take the time like the rest of us when you were young to learn a trade to support your family ? now you expect the Australian community to support you by giving you the red gum forests to log exclusively for your own family's big profits. Un-Australian bludgers !
This is a classic piece of FNSW-think. What about pre-invasion forest management? How much selective 'harvesting' was conducted then to keep the lungs operating? Go do yourself a favour and get some education on ecology. In any normal forest you'd have wildlife invading the food tent after a couple of nights...not in Millewa compartment 8 though. And what about the huge trees felled 30 odd years ago with only a four metre section removed as product? An ancient tree destroyed to make 4 sleepers!
The EIS is laughable. This is one of our favourite bits "Forests NSW further recognised that important information deficiencies exist, especially with respect to ecological requirements of individual species and their response to disturbance, and that improving information about the impacts of the proposed activity would require monitoring and research rather than survey."(pg 21 Vol 3)Typical FNSW fiddling in the dark while Rome burns.Take another look at Australias species extinction record
when visual proof is offered and it is refused by your group ie. superb parrot hundreds, happily living in box trees - (ask Carmel) it would not matter if an extinct species bit you on the bum - you would refuse to believe it.
Haha this is a load of crap have you seen how big the forest is and now that no stock is in there its just gunna burn!
