  • I did once the EVEN HARDER WAY. Which is, on Illustrator I vectorized each pixel, so the end image was actually a pixel art, but could be any size. It was boring.

  • PEOPLE! HYPERCAM2! You can still use it without paying for it!

  • man, this video sucks, at least you could have tried to record it with the computer.

  • I don't know if this'd be a foolish question or not but.. Are you familiar with RPG Maker VX's Script Editor? If so, perhaps you can PM me or something. I'm having quite alot of trouble with it.

  • how can you not love vectors?

  • I actually love vectors! 'Converting' it to pixels is just me being ridiculous. :P

Really, I just wanted to see what a higher resolution version of this would look like.

  • I'm sure you do love them! It was a rhetoric question :)

I have just started getting into vectors a couple of days ago, after drooling in front of others' pics for a couple of months. I must say they fascinate me.

  • well at the start i was totally like "WOW VECTORS" but now i found the pixel-art and i must say: It's more done with love and all those little details in the big pixel-cities and houses are just awesome. sure vectors are still great, but pixel-art fascinated me :)

  • thats just photoshop, its "filters, pixelate, mosiac"

  • No, it isn't caused by a filter. This is all vector art reconstruction of sprites.

  • Actually, it was done through Illustrator's filters, technically. It's not sprite art, because of the way it was made, all it does is simulate the look.

  • That's not pixel art...

  • thats not pixel art, i see vector objects

  • The left picture is pixel art. The right is vectorized.

  • just saying it, cause anything with anything except pixel art is not pixel art.

  • Actually, Quazi is correct, as technically the image on the left is not pixel art, but vectors run through a filter. The end result may as well be pixels but was not created by creating pixel art. This method defeats the original purpose of pixel art, to choose a limited palette to reduce how much space the file took up. However, if you wanted something scalable that retained the look of sprite art, you could do it this way. If you really wanted to, which you probably wouldn't.

  • Holy

    crap.

You are crazy, my dear, in an awesome awesome way.

    HOW did you do that?

  • I don't get why people think your comment was bad, Krisrix *__* did they not read the "awesome awesome" part?

  • Thanks, hun. Some people are just retarded, XD
