and why would he? if i was 170 pounds, i wouldn't want to fight 225 pound fighters who have knocked people out. I know rypiens a tough guy but i don't think it would be wise to pick fights for no reason, especially with the fighters you named. Rypien isn't just a tough guy, he plays hard, harder than any of the men you named.
Exactly, I agree. Rypien's a more useful player than those guys - gets more minutes, PK time, etc. It's not his job to fight heavyweights; that's Hordichuk's job. (Which is why I made the first comment.)
I am looking forward to a Prust vs. Rypien rematch. I do think Rypien is a better fighter but I think he surprised Prust last time. They're both better-than-average light fighters.
ok great, now were on the same page. Rypien is called a pitbull for a reason, can can fight, forecheck, score goals, and set up plays. Yes i would love to see a rematch between prust and rypien, because they are both very agile and strong for their weight class.
If Prust is back with the Flames, I'm guessing he has a clause in his contract that says he doesn't have to fight Rick Rypien.

Badass, great scrap. I'd give it to Hordichuk, but Prust stood in and did a great job.

Rypien is one of the best fighters in the league. He pretty much shitkicks everyone.

Same with Bieksa =)

I don't know about that. Every fight's different, and Rypien doesn't fight heavyweights very often.

sure he does, stortini, commodore, and murray.

They're big guys, but not good fighters. Rypien doesn't go around fighting Parros, Boogaard, Shelley, Boulton, Brashear, Orr...
