That is quite honestly the dumbest comment I have come across by on YouTube in 3 years. Linux is great for both old and new computers. If you think your Windows/Mac computer is better/faster than a Linux machine, try putting it up against IBM's Roadrunner supercomputer, which is currently the fastest computer in the world. It runs (and can only run) on Linux. Try putting some thought into your slam-comments before you type them out. Thank you.
Lets look at the "better software" statement. Almost everything in Macs, which is additional to the OS, is for an additional price. In linux, it mostly comes with everything preinstalled and for free. Maybe be the software features are not as good, but a home user would still not use the full potential of them. As for Mac software, you have to pay for something you will never use up to its potential.

The Mac GUI looks so slow because it's being filmed using a screen recorder, which tends to record things kind of choppy.
