I understand this game uses rolls that decide who will speak when one is in a group, doing a quest, and conversing with an npc's. What happens if someone has an emergency and has to go afk for an extended period of time? Are the other members forced to sit around until the afk member returns? Can the members unanimously decide to over rule the afk member's would be decision? Nomihc36 is worried that making choices in a group like this might ruin the game.

@nomihc36 your party has to 'enter' these group conversations. if the whole party isnt in the group conversation, there is no conversation, the convo doesnt just start without someone, so if you are afk, thats your fault, not the games, and theres nothing to worry about

Sure is alot of WoW talk for SWTOR. SWTOR isnt aiming to kill WoW thats like trying to throw a stick at a dragon, they have a large dedicated player base however this game will purge some of those numbers, and retired MMO gamers such as myself. They will have something unique, and different from WoW people will now have a choice to play something different, and that is what matters to me. I for one was growing tired of the MMO clones playing all the same so this is refreshing.. I hope. lol

@BrianVicious Watch the PAX demos by KotorMMO (The sith one is the BEST) and you will see its fully dialogged gameplay quests with REASON. Is the spaceship under attack? Go kill em! There are droids storming the base because (Reason please) go own em!

When you die in the game you respawn at a location just a little walk away from where you died. At least in the gameplay video i saw you did. If i remember is was the developer creation of the trooper video you can find here on youtube. I guess they didn't want to punish players with a long walk back to their dead corpse (cough wow). Oh and btw WoW is starting to die their number up subscription have halted since 2008 and 70% of those account rn't past lvl 10.

@Sliteh Before you comment yes I am aware you posted this 5 months ago. The WoW talking thing is such a plot hole. Forsaken could talk Common, same with the blood elves having been in the alliance previously. Night elves could somewhat understand Thalassian since both languages are adapted from the original elven language and Draenei should be able to understand orcish and vice-versa since it is normal for their race to hoard all information they can - including from their time in Outland.

You can't save the game make a choice and then go back to save, its an MMO so your choices are definite.

Actually it was intially going to come out for Xbox 360, PC and PS3.. but in the end it just ended up being on PC. Which alothough i'm primarly a console gamer i'm axtually buying a gaming PC just for SWTOR. Its going to be epic. Also chidoribeam, MMO's arnt just found on the PC, a few half-decent ones are coming to consoles soon like Champions Online.

Dude, chances are that unlike you, they WANTED to dress up like that. Hell, it adds the effect that they are actually PASSIONATE about what they do when making games. Which is something that is lacking, and whats wrong with roleplaying? Don't insult the roleplayers, hell, star wars has one of the largest roleplay followings. So, don't go paying it out like that..In short, its not a matter of dignity. Simply that they are passionate about what they do. Anyway, the robes and sabers look awesome!
