Very nice. The Sheraton is a beautiful guitar, and sounds so much better with these pickups you put in. The playing is great feeling for one of the best blues songs there is.
@paconorris Great video. I also have a Sheraton II and have had it for over 20 years. I have just taken the original pickups and electronics out and am shopping around for pickups. I thought these sounded excellent. My Spanish is not so good, but my understanding is that you are saying that the duncans are a little cleaner and more refined sounding than the gibsons?
@29young@29young Yes, I found the SDs to be too much refined, I prefer the more gritty, fatty and bluesy Gibson 57s. Heh, it is difficult to describe sounds.
If you are looking for Seymour Duncan pickups, you'll probably like their 59s more than the jazz ones.
Yes, but they are not the best for playing the blues (to my ears at least): they sound amazing but they are too cool, I rather prefer Gibson 57's or the like, those do sound like the real blues out of the box.
BB King couldn't do some of the stuff you do. He is great, of course, but some of the jazz -type stuff you do is not in his bag.
Excellent job! Clean sound, great intonation and vibrato on the left hand. You make the notes sound good, and those guitar players out there like me know that that is not always easy. It requires listenning well and having attention to detail. Bravo!
@pjjmsn great vid but pjjmsn you've no clue. bb king could do anything if he wanted to. his style doesnt need to incorportate jazz progressions, he's a bluesman. don't suggest bb king is lacking in any skill because it aint true.
What kind of brand's pickguard you got on your sheraton?
Gibson, Allparts or other after maket? I want to replace my but I know some of these es 335 like pickguard wont' fit will the pickup rings. Can you please share with me.
I bought that pickguard online in thomannDOTde, but I don't know if they ship to your country, just give it a try. Anyway, you can check the pickguard's brand there and get it elsewhere.
hey just out of curioisity , areyou using stock pickups on your sheraton cause im looking foreword to buying one thhis summer and im so exited. And how are the stock pickups anyway, are they alright sounding .
no offense to the poster of the video, but this was sloppy in some spots, and if it was a recording it would be much cleaner. it's definitely him playing.
Really nice tone (creepy rings, though!)

Is that the GÖLDO PICKGUARD XES4B? Does the screwholes fit for the Sheraton?
tussemarian 2 years ago
do* the screwholes...
tussemarian 2 years ago
Yes, it is, I bought it in Thomann.
The holes where perfectly placed for my Sheraton, I just had to sand a little the inner edges of the pickguard to make it fit with the pickups.
Hope it helps.
