On the east coast there are companies that do this and are very successful. All employees agree to have the same wage (including the CEO) and all vote on policy regarding their business. Bob doesn't know what Socialism is but he knows he hates it, just like most Americans. Under socialism free riders don't get paid the same because they don't produce an equal share of labor, in fact they are probably going to get voted out of the company.
Because socialism is democratic ownership of the company by the workers themselves. The only alternatives we're aware of is anarchy where everyone just does whatever the hell they want, oligarchy aka corporatism, and feudalism aka capitalism

Corporatism and capitalism aren't distinguishable one from the other. Since the industrial revolution those who own the means of production have been the main beneficiaries, whilst those who did all the work merely subsist. Like me lending a neighbour my spade and demanding 95 percent of the produce
Both are systems of exploitation whereby those who produce do not own, and those who own do not produce. It doesn't have to be capitalism or soviet style tyranny. A better, fairer system is possible.

@G0IFI True, corporatism is an oligarchy in which a criminal cabal of economists who have never worked a day in their lives and are removed from the work place invest a piddling little amount of money into a company and then steal back all the wealth of labor, and steal ownership of the company from the feudal monarch that owns it.
Capitalism is when a top down economic tyrant holds a feudal monarchy in which he monopolizes ownership of the company and steals the majority of labor's earnings.

@G0IFI Soviet... The very word was a lie, the word socialism in Russia a mere propaganda tool of political convenience, but what irks me is what they did to Lenin. I'm not easily pissed off, but they stole his face, they censored and sanitized his words, they removed anything he said that ever even challenged the ruling elites, and they turned him into a mere symbol. It's outright Orwellian, everyone in Russia knows his face and a few sanitized teachings but few know his ideals.

The Soviet Union was a hideous tyranny which was wrongly called "socialism" by both the US and the Soviets for opposite reasons. It was as far from Socialism as it's possible to get but it certainly did workers in the west some favours. Capitalism had something to compete with, had to show its working people it could provide for them better than Socialism could. Now, there's no iron curtain, nothing to discredit or outshine, and the corporations are pissing down upon us all from a great height.

Iceland is socialist but they don't have an immigrant problem so over there People don't have trouble with socialism. But for the rest in Europe it's a decease. It has done allot of damage. @AbbeyNO In Switzerland the Swiss People's party is leading in the polls above 30 % while the socialists are slipping down. In Finland the True Finns party is also leading way up in the polls now. Holland also has a right wing goverment with Geert Wilders. People have enough of the violence and money trouble that the EU has caused and are voting now for populism wich is actualy real democracy and are eurosceptic. Stand up for yourselve instead of living like a sheep on welfare.
