  • A very informative video. You went into lots of detail which most people don't do, and it was a great quality review. Keep it up :D

  • @MegaCellProductions Thank you for your kind words. Sorry about the filming. I've seen this model for sale on Craigslist for $100.00! I can't sell it, lol.

    1MB of memory! :)

    Tim 

  • @chessdude67 Thanks! It's incredible how we have moved from 1MB to 8GB of memory on a desktop computer in just over 25 years! What a bargain for one of these at $100 dollars though, I've never seen one sell for less than £170 ($270)! Don't worry about the filming, some of my videos were done with my iPhone and my camerawork was therefore awful. Keep up the good work :)

  • @chessdude Why do you have "Installer" on your system disk?

  • Did Steve Jobs work on the Mac Plus?

  • I believe I saw this on eBay for $900.00.

  • @AppleFanatic128K Wow, the person that bough that was ripped off. I've seen an original M0001 Pre-September Macintosh 128K on sale for $200.

  • @MegaCellProductions That's a great deal.

  • he went knowing that he created something people will remember him by

  • A fitting tribute to Mr. Jobs. I still have my Mac Plus system, including the same keyboard, external floppy drive and a 20MB hard drive.

  • Thanks, man. Great memories, I started with that MAC and still am a MAC user! Now it's iMac that I use. Nice to see the good old MAC still working, heh.

  • Great video man. This mac is before my time but I still remember using it in school or maybe a slightly never version. I am reading his bibliography also. Inspirational stuff.

  • @VicRoseMusic Thank you so much. I wish it was less shaky, but I needed to get in done that morning in one take. Happy to read you spent some time on one. It was a great computer back then. I'm also reading about his life story. I'm glad he let the writer tell everything...the good & the bad.

    Thanks again!

    Tim

  • This is a very cool upload... what a great piece of history : )

  • @BjavaBluesStop Thank you for watching. Things can only get better with filming after this one!

    Have a great weekend.

    Tim :)

  • Hey Tim! Very cool video :) It's interesting to see how Apple's computers have improved so much, but they still kept more or less the same layout for the system (the bar at the top; The finder window layout; etc). Thumbs up + fav for this!

For some reason I totally missed this video. You had told me you were going to upload this but it didn't show up in my subscription box...

    Oscar.

  • @osjcag Thanks, Oscar. I'm very unhappy with this video. It will go to private very soon. Thanks for saying nice things. You're a good friend!

    Thank you,

    Tim

  • Great video, Tim. Wonderful tribute! It´s nice to see this original Mac!

I like the way you seem to love your "old" computer...just like me with some older stuff.

My first one was an Atari ST,lol, with a C-Lab notator/creator program (to recortd midi, and mixing the tracks).....the busy bee on the screen;-)

    Cheers, Frank

  • @FrankRMusic Thank you, Frank. I'm not very happy with the filming of the video. I will take it down in the near future.

Thank you for your kind words. You've been playing with computers for many years. So much talent. You have a gift for sure. :)

    Tim

  • Wow. Very cool. Apple has come a long way. Amazing!

  • @ellenonceagain Thanks for stopping by. See ya soon on your channel.

    peace always,

    Tim

  • @RuntLaLaLa You are so right! Thank you for stopping by. I hope all is well.

    Take care,

    Tim :)

  • Hey Tim I almost missed this. This is so awesome. You've got the original Mac plus. You must be a computer enthusiast even before. Wow it's like I'm looking at a prototype Mac. This is a really nice tribute to Steve Jobs!!! :)

  • @leohammondb3 Thank you, Leo. You're a good friend. I sold my keyboard. Too many buttons and the keys felt very cheap. Might buy a 88 weighted key board.

    Your friend,

    Tim

  • Wow... Amazing video... @@

    Unbelievable..

    Rest in peace Steve jobs

  • @mrmanwheelchair Thank you my friend! God bless you always.

    peace...

    Tim

  • Very nice tribute to Steve Jobs + interesting information, Tim. Thanks

for posting this so the younger folks can learn about the evolution of the

    computers over the years.

  • @DesertDriver100 Thank you, JP. I will send you a pm soon. Hope you have a great weekend.

    Tim

    O-H-I-O :)

  • How cool is this!!! I didnt get my first PC until 1999 and its long gone. Nice video here, Troy boy. Jim

  • @LamokaGhost Wow Jim! You waited a long time to jump on board. When did you get your first cell phone? Do you have one?

Hope you are well...Troy Boy, lol! Send me a fish fry. ;-)

    peace,

    Tim

  • @chessdude67 My first cell phone was in 1998 and it was for my wife, just in case! LOL Two fish fry's two slaw's for here? How about some onion rings? Peace my brother troy boy, I hope all is well! Jim

  • Very interesting, Tim, I remember the early Mac, ha, I remember my first thought was, this will not go over with the public. Hope all is well. Best wishes always- John

  • @Ajohn13 Thank you, John. A lot of people were thinking the same thing. But, we now know things look very good for Apple.

    Take care my friend,

    Tim

  • What a beautiful tribute to Steve jobs. How neat that you are using new apple technology to video the older mac computers. Shows how brilliant Mr. Jobs was. You have a beautiful heart, Tim. Blessings to you and yours. min :-)

  • @practicing4 Thanks, Min! Will pm you in a few days. Thanks for your kind words.

    Blessings,

    Tim

  • Treasure that PC , it will be real prices 100 years longer, thanks for showing Tim

  • @MrDirtyharry53 Thanks so much for watching! I plan on keeping it. :)

    Hope you are well.

    Tim

  • Echoing Daves entire comment - excellent video my friend. Good to see one of these working and looking new. I too was playing on a Spectrum in those days - albeit an Amstrad made +2 (128K) - itself a big upgrade from a Dragon 32 which I had in 1983.

Cheers for this upload - Favorited. R.I.P. Steve.

  • @Westsound191 Thank you my friend. I've been in the hospital for a few days. Will pm you soon.

    Tim

  • @chessdude67 Hospital? Oh dear - well hoping things are OK now & talk to you soon :-)

  • Great video Tim. It was interesting to see how familiar the menus looked on the OS, very similar to the menus we use today on modern day Mac's. I guess back then this was cutting edge hardware design, the desks in that office look less cluttered with the old Mac's than my workplace does with all the modern PC's! Really good of you to post this and I wish I could go back in time and own one of these in it's heyday.

  • @MacAdvisorUK Thank you so much, Tim. I just did it in one take while the room had some sun coming in. I'm not a pro like yourself. But, we will all miss Mr. Jobs...so I had to do something.

I always look forward to your videos. I have a lot to learn about Lion and the new ios5. Thanks for your excellent tutorials.

    Tim

    Ohio

  • Thats very cool! That was my first pc :) Of course I was just a kid but it had Oregon Trail, a drawing program, and a printer I could print my art with. But of course I didn't get one new, I got it in about 1992. Awesome man!

  • @supertimmytunes Thanks, Bro! I also have a drawing program and clip art for it. Good times!

    peace!

  • Very cool and interesting video Tim. That mac was quite high spec for 1986 too. 1MB was loads back then. I was still playing on my 48k spectrum lol.

  • @doctorford Thanks, Alex! I also had a pc at the time that we built. I paid $400.00 for 4 MB's of ram, lol!

    Take care!

  • Tim my friend your an absolute gentlemen and far too humble. Your videos are awesome. Your shout out was most kind. That Macintosh looks in great condition. You've really preserved it well. This was a nice and thoughtful tribute to Steve. I'm especially impressed at how clean you've kept that manual. It looks like new. Best wishes to you and the family.

  • @LACK78 Thank you, Dave. Yes, the manual is like new. I thank you for your kind words. I will miss Mr. Jobs very much. I also uploaded it on my 2011 iMac. Three computers all made by Steve/Apple. :)

I put your link at the bottom. You are my favorite Tech guy, and I thank you for making me laugh as well.

    Tim

  • Loved it Tim!!! RIP Steve.

    Cheers mate

  • @juca2929 Thank you my friend. Nice of you to stop by.

Hope to see some new guitar videos soon.

    Tim

  • Very nice video. A video of a device filmed by a device Steve made. Posted to youtube on a device he made as well if you currently have a mac.

  • @theonlydoberman211 Yes, posted to YT on my 27" iMac 2011. Thanks so much for your kind words. Hope to see/hear from you again.

    peace,

    Tim

  • Nice little machine you got there, Tim. Kind of makes you think of how they used computers back then. Hope everything's alright in Ohio.

    Alex

  • @redman6657 Thanks, Alex! Everything is going well in Ohio. I hope all is well on your end?

    Thanks, Alex.

    Tim

    ANTi

  • @GSHLTV Thanks, ANTi. It is a very cool computer. I had a Tandy PC that I think was made by Raido-shack back then. No hard drive. Cost me $1900. :) Very cool back then as well.

Hope all is well in Canada!

    Tim

  • Thanks for the video, Tim!

    How are you, my friend?

  • @geekint0sh Hi Tommy, I'm doing well. I hope school is going well. Drop me a pm when you have time to Skype. Thanks for watching!
