JG/GB Dragunov SVD Review

Dear airsofters, this is NOT a Dragunov. It's a PSL. A real gun enthusiast can tell you that because the Dragunov is much more skinnier. And the magazine for the PSL is closer to the trigger guard. Btw, I think this kid is Filipino.

@thelidiots99 Unfortunately, JG never makes spare parts like this one. To make it rarer, there's a wood kit of the JG Dragunov but I think it's phased out. No choice but to find a professional woodworker or carpenter to craft you a buttstock.

if is the ak 47 is not the dragunov svd. the ak 47 fire the 7.62x39 mm and the dragunov fire the 7.62x54R round. the range for an ak 47 is abaut 300 meters against the 1200 meters of an SVD DRAGUNOV range. this is not an svd. is an ak47 that looks like an svd dragunov.

I have this same gun and its great but how did you take off the Bipod?

There is a small set screw holding it in place inbetween the legs. Just open them up and you should see it. I want to say that its about a 2mm screw so it takes a very small hex wrench.

Hey there, What the person commenting about the Real Sword SVD means is that the JG SVD is not a 100% Accurate depiction of the real SVD. The real SVD does not take standard AK47 magazines, as the real SVD fires 7.62X54R bullets instead of the 7.62X39 that the normal AK47 fires.

The real SVD isn't based off of the AK47, but rather than making a whole new gun JG just threw some SVD like parts onto the gun.

I'm impressed by your reveiw, you know quite a lot about airsoft around the world. 4/5

yes the jg one came out first.. but this is not a real SVD, the receiver is way to wide and short to be an svd, doesnt use the correct svd magazines, as well it doesnt even have the side raid for svd scopes. its an ak with svd furnature. So the RS is the first AEG svd.

real sword came first, the classic army was announced right after the real sword was released. Both are up to spec in terms of externals as the real one, exept that the CA one is the wood stock version with synthetic stock, the synthetic stock SVD is actually different shape than the wood stock. The Ca is just the wooden stock just in syntetic material if you understand what I am saying.

uhh. CA SVD's stock is pure synthetic with fiberglass coating while RS SVD's stock is real wood. But the synthetic stock of the SVD is supposed to belong to the Modern SVD so CA's svd is not what I called perfect. The trigger guard is not exactly like Real Swords and the real steel.

The actual shape of the stock and ribbing on the fore stock on the synthetic is the real steel equivalent. The CA stock is syntehtic, but the actual stock and forestock are modeled after the wood stock version. Go look up SVD on google and you should see the synthetic version. If you still dont see what I mean PM me I will show you via AIM or something. The CA is the wood stock version of the SVD just with synthetic furnature. the New synthetic svd is different than the CA
