This song (according to what I heard Joe Elliott say) is written about drug addiction from the drugs point of view. It's what it will cause someone to do to themselves and there are no consequences for the drug......just you!
I actually first was brought into listening to DL with Retro-Active. Then Slang. The Vault, Then I bought everything from On Through The Night to Sparkling Lounge. Retro-Active is technically the B-Sides to their previous albums. Two Step Behind was featured in Last Action Hero...no comment on the movie. Slang they brought an Indie/R&B sound...not bad at all. Love It! Rock On!
Retroactive is an awesome album! So is Slang. I love when the guys branch out ! The words to this song are haunting--also check out "Where does love go when it dies" from Slang. Beautiful!
If u havnt already....BUY THE RETRO ACTIVE ALBUM!!!!! it has some really kick ass 80s sounding songs on there...one of which...is from before they were called def leppard....and they redid and put on that album which was released in 1993. that song was written sometime i nthe late 70s....aweseome some (ride into the sun)
This was at MuchMusic in like...1995 or 1996, right? It was so long ago but I remember seeing it on TV when I was a teenager. XD They're so wonderful and this is one of my favourite songs of theirs ever.
Wow. This is maybe the best post I've ever seen so far of the Lepps. They seem so natural and sound so clean and true.
That's the way I wanted to listen to them. It's hard to see DL without a lot of sound FX and high tech behind them, isn't it?
Well, I really like them anyway.
It's very hard to see this kind of material in México and as far as I know, DL has visited Monterrey city twice (I saw them live here in the 2005 fall tour)
Canadian TV show a Intimate+interactive interview plus acousticshow i think the programs name is Much Music in CANADA.They are very big in canada.the people in canada really love Def leppard
Yes, unfortunately, due to alcohol abuse, mixed with temper and letting personal demons come to the surface, Rick did physically abuse his wife in an airport. He paid for it too, they were eventually able to continue in the relationship, but now I believe they are divorced, however not due to further abuse.
I love this song, but I actually liked the version Joe did with Liam of Hothouse Flowers a bit better. There was a very raw, dramatic quality to it. Still, ANY song Joe sings is good with me. :)
of course vivian is a Leppard! i mean he'll never replace steve clark, but look at it like this, vivian has now been in the band longer than steve was
great song, one of my favorite acoustic songs, does anybody knows any other great acoustic songs?cuz i bought an acoustic and i dont know much acousitc songs!

It has Overture, Getcha Rocks Off and From The Indside.
