Ha cool! I saw this movie when I was really little, Rob must have flow right over my head. I will have to watch it again, and this time...FOCUS on what is important..and that is my man in the sude jacket <3
"With 6 You Get Egg Rolls" was the first movie I ever saw at the theater. I was 13 years old. I fell in love with the Grass Roots right then & there . . . . . .
". . . . . . why take a bus when you can fly"? You gotta love it!!!
This is one of the all time best 1960's dance scenes in a movie. Check out, "Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows" for one of the others. Love the Grass Roots! So uber groovy!
I recently found an 8 track of the Grass Roots... when I went to stick the tape in the slot and this song started playing, I FUCKING CAME! This is the most awesome song I ever heard in my entire life! And quite different from most of the other songs too.
This is beyond the valley of GROOVY!! I LOVE the GR's, it's a shame they don't show more of them in this clip, but it has Doris Day & we love her too!! I can remember seeing this movie at the Westbury drive in (in Long Island NY), back in the 60's with my whole family (all nine of us!), in my parents station wagon. wow those were the good old days, & I really miss those innocent times. Thanks for posting, Gary in PA USA.
also, check out the dance scene from the movie, "goodbye columbus" when "brenda" is running and jumping into the pool and the scene switches up with the dance scene..love that part

This song reminds me of the Stones "under my thumb". Very cool song and sound. I miss them and Doris Day.

Like 'Let's Live for Today' and "Bella Linda', this song also seems to have European overtones to it.
