I think Obama has been working hard, you have to think about all the time and work that's been put into his campaign, the death of his grandmother not to long ago, picking his cabinet, and already setting plans for the economy. He hasn't had much room to breathe. Personally I think he deserved that vacation in Hawaii.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but being the commander in chief is quite a demanding and sometimes stressful job, so even if he CAN takes some days off, there are minor things that need to be attended to by the president.
