  • Totally disagree with white dwarf. I switched to bare foot running and my knee and ankle pain went away, and I haven't had an overuse injury since. Just be sure you transition slow, and get some running in on different surfaces besides only the treadmill.

  • quick tips to migrate to pose running method:

    1. remove your shoes, run barefoot - your body will naturally avoid heel strike. you will naturally land on your forefoot area.

    2. bring your heel at a butt level; and

    3. add speed

as soon you get the feel of running barefoot wear back your shoes then apply steps 1 to 3. i hope you'll enjoy running.

as for you dwarfling, rather than criticize cyril at least suggest some good techniques your last post was uninformative.

  • oh yes i should mention if this is your first attempt , you are running way too fast

  • So how are you getting on , did you keep it up ?

  • i run all the time, 3 times a week for maybe 3 to 5 miles a week.. all the running methods/techniques are just a marketing attempt to make you think that you are doing a very simple activity wrong and that you can't do it without there method.. just run however is most comfortable for you and don't worry about what all the "paid" experts have to say

  • Try it without shoes

  • You are landing on your heels.
