hey yes you do alternate...

if you look on the PAS sheet a lot of rudiments are written with the sticking alternated such as the paradiddle: RLRR LRLL, or the flam accent as such: RLR LRL.

However, the flamacue is written as such:

RLRL R

LRLR L

With the left hand sticking underneath that tells me that it's not supposed to be alternated.Otherwise it would have been written like the other rudiments as such: RLRL R LRLR L..but it's not.

Now, with all that being said...any good drummer should be able to play it both ways.
