  • I'm singing this now && I love how beautiful it sounds ! I'm an Alto 2 so I'm glad that I can hear them pretty well.

    Great job (:

  • Is this the Bel Canto technique? It sure sounds like it! I enjoyed this very much! Thank you for this gift!

  • .........funny that Blue Springs did this 3 years ago, and now both them and Blue Springs South are doing it. does anyone know who the director is?

  • We're singing this piece in our next concert :D

  • wow, its so beautiful... im never quite sure if its minor or major key im singing it for our fall concert this year! but to be honest, im not sure us 16 freshman/sophomores can handle it... but well try our best! im an alto 2!

  • Beautiful , So Glad This Womens Choir got all of the Dynamics. Bravo ;)

  • sang this for my sprig concert at west orange high school in nj this year! way to end my senior year in choir! great memories...we unfortunately didnt have that many second altos..so the lower sound wasnt heard much..this sounds great tho =)

  • funny. blue springs did this 3 years ago, and park hill is doing it now... funny.

  • this is great!

we're singing this for our minnesota state high school league contest in a week from tomorrow.

    it sounds wonderful!

    can't get enough. :p

  • nice job! I'm singing this for the district chorus concert tomorrow. we're basically the best singers from our district so it's incredibly beautiful! :)

  • @LauraTO12 I was in that choir! That was a blast! :)

  • im singing this with the Womens District Choir in Missouri :) sooo excited :)

  • This is so beautiful! I put this up on choirbragblog. Nice work all.

  • this is done so well its amazing how blended you all sound. although you can hear everyone breathing together, but it really is okay cause this song requires deep breaths for the loooong notes.

  • @yummycow12 thanx :)

  • @yummycow12

I'm singin this song in MSU's Womens' Glee Ensemble, and our director actually asked us to have our deep breaths slightly audible. Because it's such a passionate song, he thinks it really enhances the passion.

Granted, they may not have been going for this, I just wanted to commented that sometimes audible breath is a good thinkg :D

  • My choir sang this at Contest and we got a 1 :D

  • You girls are moving very nicely from note to note. Except I think you needed more emotion. The piece is painful and yet loving. You're saying you love me, but I am not yours, I want to be yours, but I can't. Also it is very distracting when someone is swaying in the front row and hearing every breath the choir takes together. Breathe together, but silently.

  • this is a level 6 NYSMA piece. My schools all women choir will be singing it for NYSMA this year

  • njsma's doing it this year too

  • this is a beautiful song...david childs (the composer of this song) was our director for region today! he's amazing and this song shows it

  • i'm going to be doing this song in later in Noember for Regional choir in california. this is such a beautiful piece. So well done, it's inspiring, and I hope it sounds this good. Alto 1 for life!

  • Really??

Would that be the ACDA central CA honor choir?

S1 for life haha! :) Hope I see you there!

  • I wish I would have noticed this comment before then. But yeah it was ACDA central CA honor choir. I was an A1

  • We're doing this song in choir, haha... I LOVE IT!

  • I loved that performance, and think we all did great!... hey do you have the whole thing on video? I'd love to see the freshmen perform! ♥

  • I think each of you has a nice sound, but together, I personally think that you need to blend more. From one high rated choir to another...

  • damn hellaaa love this songg!

we learnin this songg, aha. ;D

  • this is one of my favorite pieces for treble voices...and you perform it very well

  • Not the best that WE has done, but still spectacular. The a capella section at the end is stunning! I haven't met a director better than Amy.

  • wow.

    that was awesome.

    you had a fantastic sound!

especially for being a small group.

well, small compared to the womens choir at my school.

    we have about...60 girls.

and we are learning this song. but enough about me.

    wow.

i'm clapping from my chair. :]

  • You guys did really good! I sang this at All-state and loved the song! We called David Childs and he talked to us!

  • I was in that choir!! Arkansas All-State 2009 Female Chorus?! If not wow... What a coincidence.. Lol. =] I was an Alto I. What part were you?

  • i was an Alto 1 at all state this year!!!! in arkansas

  • I was an alto II at all state this year in arkansas too!

  • You did a wonderful job! I didn't hear a D on the end of wind near the end of the song, but other than that there is nothing bad I can say about your performance. My chorus was a guest choir at the Gardner-Webb Choral Clinic in Fall 2008 and the girls performed this and we are also performing it on March 12th at our contest.

  • this sound's like Z. Randall Stroope's "I am not yours" Only a little different. It is strange.

  • My choir did this as well, but we did it a little slower. David Childs came to our school and directed us. He's brilliant!

  • my choir did this on a local and state level and I ADORED it! David Childs is amazing. Well done.

  • wow you guys are reallly good.

my schools woman chorale is doing

it. im so happy to be apart of it.

i hope we sound like you guys :D

  • I personally like this version better than stroopes. I had the privilege to stand next to one of the altos from my schools chamber choir during our concert. I teared up, it's beautiful.

  • im in love with this song

my treble choir is doing it and its my favorite song that we are singing

  • love this song.

our treble choir's doing it this year.

    can't wait ^^

  • i love this song you girls r so good. i know how hard this song is. im in the womens choir at my school and we just recently had to sing this at a festival... i luv it :)

  • women conductors rock!

  • I must be honest, for the past week or two, I've listened to this at least once every day. Beautiful job :)

  • Good job guys.

I went to raytown south and our Womens choir sang this for contest in 2006. They rocked the heck out of it and got a 1 also. Leave it to Blue Springs to steal our ideas. Like allways. Haha, JK. Seriously though, great job.

  • blue springs rocks and so does there wemons choir

  • we sang this song in my po dunk town... i used to go to blue springs good job :) this is my step moms account

  • i think you all did amazing! some of the vowels on sea were a bit pinched but "ee" is very hard to make sound "tall" ya know what i mean by tall. your dynamics are great! when you sang lost in love i had chills.

  • wow, i've only heard this song satb.

    it's beautiful.
