Do you need a protien skimmer for those fish? petco said no but im starting out with them till i can get clown fish.and how much decor decorations do you have to put in it?
what are you saying? Have you not change the water at 6 moths? How can they live? Awesome! =) I have saltwater tank too. I have one 4 striped damsel and other fishes. But i have skimmer becuase i will have more fishes.
As I said.. they are doing great! The dominos have outgrown the striped damsels... the striped damsels have made babies for about 7 times now. I had problems with the algae, but I got some snails to take care of it. Although, when you bring live rocks, there are chances that you bring bristl worms.. they are the most hideous unwanted ugly looking creepy worms. I have about 4-5 of them .. it gives me gosebumps just to see them move.
I didnt think I needed one. its been 5-6 months now since I changed water, the damsels have laid eggs 7 times and the babies were eaten by the dominos and snails. They are very healthy and happy.

As I said, as long as I have the right filter medium, I dont need toa marine filter. FYI, this WAS labelled to be a marine filter too.

at 2:35, its a fresh water fish called Flower Horn. I'm using the same filter but have replaced the filter medium accordingly.
