this movie is a piece of shit. How about black people's lives? What happened to black people in all history is obvious, don't fool people with this kind of movies.

@alpacinosrc, there are films about the Black people's side of history as depicted in htis film. Try to understand that this film is done from the strongwilled female lead that tries to maintain control of a world that no longer can be controlled by her. I found it haunting, the cast was excellent. Just like I said after watching it, only the French can gfet away with such a violent tragedy being depicted in such an amazing artitisic beautiful way.

I have to say, I've relatives who lived through apartheid, and whites there had it better than the average white in America. The portrayal of poor white farmers is accurate to some African countries, but even in the British colonies, whites were known for living it up. Part of my family had to move from Nambia, and we had it good there as well. Maybe not to the level of Euros, but people had stability.

Seen in London,a beautiful film by Claire Denis.The atmosphere is very tense and the cast very well chosen.HUPPERT SHINES IN THIS part and makes us proud once again.The music composed by TINDERSTICKS is great as well,giving the film a somptuous frame.BRAVO 2 Claire Denis.
