....and since this song and video were recorded, most of the groups these performers fronted have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame(how about NRBQ?).
Great seeing those people together. I enjoy all their work.
One of Richie's last appearances. He could have made a name for himself as a sideman like Waddy, Leland, Russ etc. The Last Waltz was at the top of his resume.
Well, having been there at the start, through the entire era, having experienced the difference between what was, musically, and what is, hiphopitedly, I'll take this mix, this mutual joy, this heritage of talent and sound - all the way to whatever awaits us all in the end.
They had potential to make some good music and be themselves, not what 1980s pop music trends wanted them to be or sound like. The end result is an regretful song that should have never been recorded.
Why do I think that? John Sebastian and Ronnie Spector dancing up to the mic, McGuinn smiling at Sebastian and Spector on cue, the dancing at the end. Most of all, did they swallow a whole bottle of Happy Pills? To think that these guys were cool in the 60's and now trying to be "whatever it is" in the 80's. In case nobody noticed, that's Al Anderson from NRBQ on bass.

@zapple100
Why do you think that?
It does reflect the 80's style of video film making, other than that, it is just a straight kinda of singalong type video!
