  • I love this song! never understood why some of their better songs didn't make the spots on the charts.

  • Grab the audio from this video at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • i love the old stuff SET and PRODUCT OF need to be CD released

  • @md423

Just got them as part of a set called "BOX" from AMAZON-4 CD set of "A product of.." "Set" "Quick Step.." Into the Gap" AND "Here's To Future Days" Superb

  • @md423 Set and Product Of have been released on CD. There is an AWESOME Thompson Twins box set out.

  • They sure did sell out, like no other. Shame, they were good early on.

  • Never seen this line up live before...owned 'set' since about 1983

  • What a great track, thanks for posting

  • I am so glad that they did a rereleased of all their cd's and with extra bonuses

  • @Griff1319 So true, listening to the set now ,the company did a great job on the cd collection!

  • WOW I have never seen anything like this from "A Product Of" my favourite TT record. Thanks for posting

  • Thompson Twins sound while in Studio and in Live -are similar, The band used excellent sound systems.

  • you are right i am a big fan

  • its tom at his emotional sense...

  • monumental performance of Tom, this is actually a Time Capsule 'a snap shot a Genesis of "Thompons Twins.

  • This was a scenerio of the tip of the begining of the thompson twins eclipse

    living in europe in 1979

  • The TT were the first band I ever got into...man where do all this vids come from!

  • Pre comercial THOMPSONS

    Very rare . Thanks

  • WERE LIVING IN EUROPE!!!

    well i am anyway lol

    great song!

  • that slap bass sounds soo good

  • MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Utterly agree - these were both compelling albums. Slightly indefinable but with real edge and atmospherics. More meaningful than many albums of the time... shame they didn't pursue a serious development of these sounds but gave in to sickly sweet sounds that came later.

  • am i the only one who think it sounds a little like talking heads?

  • I saw the TT in Toronto in a small Concert Hall in 1982 ... unfortunately by then they had all but abandoned the early sounds (with the exception of "In the Name of Love". Too bad, because much this stuff was great and yes, did sound like Talking Heads. It was very experimental in nature for them more than anyone else!

  • no i thought it sounded like talking heads too!!

  • I think set and Product are probably some of the most unique and ahead of time music that the 80's new wave culture produced. Runaway, Make believe, Blind, Crazy Dog, Perfect Game(Their First single) Oumma Alauresso (2nd Single) Slave Trade, all great songs! I only wish they would be remastered.

    Alas.

  • at last, some one who agrees with me.

two of the best albums ever written!!

  • i just got set and a product of and i wish i hadn't .

  • this video is absolutely AMAZING.

  • I loved this song!

  • If I had a time machine, and was kickin' it back in the 80's, I'd be at a Thompson Twins show with the quickness! No two ways about it.

  • Tom gave me a hi-five at the only concert I saw of theirs- I nearly kept that hand in a baggie. Only time I really weaseled my way to the front for ANY group. So worth it!

  • I miss the Thompson Twins saw them dozen of times haha I even caught a dozen of carnations from Tom while Allanha and Joe tossed some as well but wth all the women around me I only ended up with one left lol im a sucker for hot women and there lips lol

  • Tom! Percussion maniac!

  • A Product Of is brilliant, especially Make Believe and Perfect Game.... Living In Europe is cool, they were so eclectic, brilliant...

  • Mang, I freaking love you, never thik we dont appreciate this, cause I do. I loved product of and set. Great records. I love Toms younger voice, really great tune. Tanxz

  • This is interesting, you can see them experimenting with the eventual three-piece lineup, with Alannah so prominent up next to Tom, and Joe's bongos out front. I wish someone would post the other number they did on Whistle Test, "In the Name Of Love".

  • What a post! Nice and rare. The record this track is off of -- In The Name Of Love -- is one of the great, lost masterpieces of the 80's. The rhythm section alone of drummer Chris Bell and bassist Matthew Seligman was aces. Find it, it's worth the hunt, especially if you're a drummer.

  • not as bad as duran's infamous "faster than ligh--high-eeeet!"

  • hey, it kind of sucks! i love it!
