  • UAC is in OS X in another form. Whenever it asks for your password when you install something, it's nearly the same thing.

  • Windows XP > Windows 7 > Linux Everything Else > Vista

  • So user should have to know about that? Then buy a Mac, cause mac owners can't hand all this complexity.

  • Windows 7 Is The Most Awesome Operating System I Have Ever Use Because It Looks All Cool With Its Aero Interface (Also Referring To Windows Vista). But Its Only Problems Are: 1. So Many Things Running At The Same Time (But Still Works Very Fast). 2. A Lot Of Annoying Pop Ups (Fixable By Disabling) So Its Not That Bad!

  • u do realize that most schools even have windows xp. when i pass by places i can never spot a mac, cuz no one likes them. Just because one magazine says that mac is the best os so far doesn't mean its true. A real opinion isn't based on group of people whereas it is based on the majority's opinion. Yes its true that windows vista bombed, but now apple is wetting their pants in trying to find new ways to stop people from buying w7 because they know that it is killing snow leopard.

  • Mac OSX has been shunned by 90% of all businesses. 45% of businesses have accepted vista. The other 45% is XP. Apple just outright lied in this.

  • they only critisize something when that something is better than them

  • @wikiih that explains why every other comment in this video is about who is better... thank you

  • @lorenzo152857 you are most welcome, and thank you for your response, but I have to say that apple is always bashing windows 7. why would they need to do that? i mean, apple is so popular among dumb and normal home users, and also so popular with musicians and music/video editors, so why would a company so popular as apple, make fun of a more powerfull marketholder company as Microsoft.. it's just insane, isn't it?

  • They're saying that because Windows 7 is not a completely new OS, its derivated from Vista. Its much faster because Microsoft reorganized the processes and powered up the GUI also it has more APIs than Vista, with more functions and etc. But Windows 7 still is not very innovative because its a Refined Vista. The Windows 7 is a fine OS but the fact that its based on Vista makes me think that Microsoft is really dishonest.

  • This guys just jealous that windows 7 is better than an X in the sky.

  • Windows 7 is just about copying Mac OS X features. Now you decide, if our features are better than our features - YES you heard me RIGHT.

  • Macs are oversimplified computers - watered down so art students and sorority girls don't have to know how to do anything. The premium you pay for the Mac is making up for your general stupidity of technology. I have had PCs my entire life that I have both bought and built myself. Never any problems because I know what the hell I'm doing. Mac users are only smug about their computers because they need to justify the extra 500 bucks (at least) they paid for their mac over a similar pc

  • Thank you. Macs are for morons who don't know what to do with their money.

  • Haha.... No. They're not saying it's so easy, so every idiot could use it, but because everything is just there. If you want to do something, you don't have to search the hell around your stupid app. It is just where you would except. THIS IS the GOAL of GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE. And Apple is not good at it, they're the BEST.

But then again... I agree "too simplified" is a nice thing. But only when you already know how stuff works.

(PC user for 6 years, Mac user for 3 months)

    Proud Mac user.

  • @iDeufi so you give up your not going to get back to me?

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

I already proved I'm right. No need to spam someone's video.

  • @iDeufi

all you have proved is that you don't know what you are on about i proved to you that your money is going into a logo and not the hardware show me a mac that gives you good hardware that makes up more then 60-70% of the cost of a mac then tell me where that 40%-30% is going

  • Macs are for people who are shit with technology, that why they need basic and simple stuff.

  • Mac boys are idiots!

  • am seeing that a lot they pick one thing and MS have done it better they are always looking for a noob way of useing a PC when windows do a lot more you just never see it in less you need it and most uses dont even know what 10% of there OS can do

  • mac os isnt everything but may have fast boot ups and nice specs, windows os has many programs and compatibilities. i were allowed to get a mac, i will use bootcamp to install windows 7 as a partition

  • Microsoft makes Software for both Mac and Windows since the 80's and today. in fact in 1984 Microsoft found the answer to getting rid if Viruses and gave it to Apple.

If you look at the hardware specs. Apple has just introduced 1080P resolution MACS.

    Apple fails.

  • i wouldnt reccommend a mac for a person who has never used a computer before, they will be confused, windows much simpler and has more compatibility and is great for gaming and macs do crash

  • Windows is simpler?? lolol

    Like seriously?

Have you ever installed software and uninstalled software on Windows?? Its a bloody nightmare lolol

And it still leaves files all over your damn hard-drive

  • they may be temporary files, you can always remove them by typing: %temp% into the search bar or run box

  • Their not just temp files. But if you think that ok.

Come on now! who wants an os that can't perform basic tasks like properly uninstalling software? Or where you have to start defraging the HD

    Windows is caveman technology.

  • well the "caveman technology" is working fine, i defrag my pc every month and use ccleaner to clean my pc and it works well

  • My Point exactly! And I don't have to :)

Windows is a complete epic fail of an OS

  • one point...in Windows XP, Microsoft say the XP part stands for eXPerience and i think it stands for Xtra Porn

  • "PC caveman technology" MAC PCs just got to 1080p not long ago and they dont even have a touch screen yet the thing is macs look good but there technology is old so who is the caveman?

  • Macs have the newest technology out there. Before you try to comment again or reply to my comment, READ GOD DAMIT !

  • @iDeufi you think macs have the newest technology? where are the touchscreen monitors & the 120Hz monitors for the 3D experience? & also, why do they have to underclock all the components to prevent overheating problems? & also, what about the security problems? obviously, there would seem to be more problems with windows security, but that's because of the vast difference in the user base, & the fact that Apple restricts what the user can create

  • @AndrewBouchierUK

Does your 200$ Dell have a TouchScreen? No.

Does your 200$ Dell have a 120Hz monitor? No.

What kind of 3D experience you would want from a f*cking Google website?

They under-clock their processors because of energy saving. The iPod Touch for example... .

And yeah, Good luck with your 200$ Multi-Touch Screen 3D experience 120Hz OVERclocked PC. If you find one.

  • @iDeufi well having 3D lets me see 3D TV shows, 3D movies, play 3D games and make 3D Pictures and so on having Touch Screen is better then using a mouse some times

  • as i said to someone here both OS do the same thing when removeing files from a PC just window OSs let you get your files back if needed for a time anyway if you download something it may go over where the file was then that file is lost for ever

all PCs and by PCs i do mean macs have to defrag just window OS let you pick when you want to do it

i am betting you dont know what defrag is and what it does or do you i am betting you dont as you said a dumb thing about it lol

  • yes lots of times its just a few clicks to remove software also may i note that windows OSs let you see all the files on your hard-drive even ones that you have deleted so that if you do delete a file you need theres a way to get it back

OSX does the same thing with deleteing files there on your hard-drive it just does not let you see them anymore even if you want a file that you deleted there no way of getting it back so both OSs do the same thing just window OSs let you get the file back

  • i dont care what anyone says about windows 7, its better than mac, and i cant believe apple is making fun of windows 7, disk defragmenter is good and i use it

  • I don't get it....

what's so funny about windows having dlls, a registry, and a disk defragmenter?

Yes, they might be "old technology" but they work very nicely. I mean, the disk defragmenter is for the comp to speed up even more, y doesn't apple want to use that?

and there r more pc games on windows than apple xD

  • @jeffreysyang heck not only games but there are also more software, and open source software online only available for pc's.

  • Mac sucks

    Windows rulz

  • hahah i love the part of the disk defragmentation

  • Problems with apple.......

Cost...why so much there computers are not gold

User can not buy parts for them or fix themselves, you have to send it in to apple.

Pc's are compatible with more programs and hardware then mac's

If you think Windows 7 sucks.....prob. didn't use vista, that sucked and yes windows 7 is going to be great give it time.

And finally Microsoft is apples daddy, kid has a lot to learn before he can mess with the big dogs.

  • Its beacuse they refuse to make or sell

    3rd rate bargain bin products.

You get what you pay for

  • Apple sucks and microsoft is very good

  • this is sooo fake.

  • @arcticpenguin2350 you suck.

  • Mac sucks. /disscusion

  • It's true now vista has 12 different versions

  • Would be fun if MS did the same with Mac.

    "ONE GIANT MISTAKE"

    "ONE FALL..."

    "...NEVER TO RETURN"

    "~3% OF MARKET SHARE"

    "APPLE's MAC".

  • if you were smart enough you would know windows 7 is same as windows vista Technology wise. They use the same kernel. Windows Xp kernel is signifcantly different from windows vistas although they are still NT kernels. Thats why windows 7 is 6.1. Oh and HFS+ is the undisputed king of filesystems now. NTFS is still better than ext2/3/4 reiserfs jfs xfs btrfs and all those crappy linux filesystems. But HFS+ blows away NTFS.

  • Please explain how HFS+ blows away NTFS.

7 might be based off the Vista kernel but if YOU were smart enough then you would know that 90% of the code was rewritten.

I'm awaiting your reply to how HFS is better.

  • You know what a B-tree is? HFS+ uses those for its catalog file and extents btree and attributes btree. These are always sorted so look ups are VERY FAST. With NTFS you have a table for all the Inodes. The bigger the Master file table is the slower NTFS will become. Tables are linear structures.

  • First of all, HFS+ has a 2TB limit which NTFS doesn't have, which is a plus for NTFS.

By the way, NTFS uses B+tree which is the safer way of have a file structure unfortunately. It's the main reason that if you accidentally delete anything on a Mac, then you're basically screwed without any backup device.

    You argument is invalid.

  • Really? HFS+ has an 8EB limit.

  • EB and EiB are very different. HFS+ has a 1 EB limit.

  • I have windows vista and it has worked fine for me just when you try to screw with it something will go wrong. and i learned that very quickly when I had windows 95 not to delete files in the windows folder. but note i did not know what i know now and if a computer does not tell you '' don't do that'' then what is it worth having it it does not have some kind of self preservation installed on it because I don't want to restore my computer back all the way to factory condition. so i do have to..

  • So I do have to agree with you mehrows...

  • "Businesses have shunned Vista outright..."

Ok, and Apple has room to talk? Ever heard of Bitlocker? It actually protects your files.

And I believe that I heard him criticize the "same-old technology." Awfully hypocritical, seeing as how the iPhone 3Gs is really the technology of 2007 in 2009: nothing has changed at all, except for the addition of features common in 2005.

  • As for your bitlocker comment, Mac os x has had something like that called File vault since 2005. Bitlocker only came out in 2007 and is only in 2 versions too, and yes File vault does protect your files by encrypting your user account.

  • @ibpointless2, even Windows XP can encrypt your user files, this is known as folder encryption, and has been around at least since 2001. I think what featherduster was talking about was whole drive encryption. As far as I know, OSX does not have this.
