@2iBMX Brazilian's FIAT MAREA also used L5 engine with a 2.45 litre (160 hp) or with a 2 litre displacement TURBO (182 hp). The Marea Turbo used the same engine of Italian's Fiat Coupé Turbo, 5 inline cylinder 2.0 Turbo, in wich the unique diference is the "chip": Fica Coupé Turbo comes with 220hp by standard; Brazilian's "chiped" Marea Turbo reachs 240hp without other mods or even 600hp+.

My gas mileage is pretty low, like driving my pickup cause i cant keep my foot off the gas. I have got as high as 24 mpg on the highway. The engines just sound like that, no turbo or supercharger. The engine is two offset 4 cylinder engines on the same crank with their own exhaust. Very different sound from other 8 cylinders.

Good choice, but very very expensive to maintain. Some VW dealers will actually send you to Audi if the engine needs work.
