Yes, you can, but it is traditional to steam it in a rice basket, this is what they did in Asia, where they did not have technology as rice cookers.

I haven't had sticky rice and eggs in the longest time! I make my eggs over easy with some fish sauce && black pepper. Super yummy!!!
