i hope the financial crisis forces the fia to make f1 what it was back then: pure driving and skills. it'd be great to see simple racecars without flappy paddle shifting or wings in formula 1
Hard to build a F1 car that could stay competitive for 4 years w/o big modifications, but Chapman did it. It was fragile, and demanded finesse driving, but it was the class of the late 60s.
Love this video. Gotta love Parnelli Jones! I see why Saleen did the 2007 Saleen PJ Mustang. Only 500 made! A real collector as PJ worked on from day one and signed each one.
Great clip! I'm planning to collect videos from this era and also from the 70's. Although I didnt have any idea about this time, to me the greatest drivers are from d 40's up to 70's. Could you also post clips from the 70's. Thanks!
look at them pouring the oil and the petrol! ahah no monkwy business with fuelling pumps and crap like that. Fill it up mate!

I wonder how hard it might be to make a Lotus 49 - esque road-legal car. Imagine going for a sunday drive!

I'm not a huge fan of motor sport, but love the old footage.

Wow, looking back 40+ years and realizing what death traps these cars and tracks were only makes me appreciate the races I saw more.
