PLEASE recall what happend in 1998 and 2000 to SL ARMY CAMPS in Elephant pass, Kilinotchi and Mullaitheevu. These were TRUE events.
Do you know how LTTE attacked these 3 cities at the same time and chased away SL ARMY and caused heavy casualities to SL ARMY. The same event will be repeated in year 2009.

-Sri Lankan governement and LTTE signed a peace agreement to end the war. But what LTTE did in the meantime was that they collected weapons and funds as much as they could and then started the war again.
-Sri Lankan government(and Mahinda Rajapaksha) came to a conclusion that this war cannot be ended by peace talks. The only option that left them with was go to war with the LTTE. So the governement increased its fundings to the ARMY and now they are fighting against LTTE to reunify Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan civil war hasn't been covered in Finnish news very much so my questions will propably sound stupid, but anyway...
- What gave the LTTE the early success after december 2005? Where did LTTE get its funding and weapons?
- What changed in 2008 that gave the Sri Lankan army the advantage and push that has led to this current situation? Was the army able to eliminate important LTTE leaders/strategists? Was the LTTE funding somehow enabled?

yeah, but at least another 1 or 2 years or so until the leftover diehards are taken care of and civilians resettled. I just wish we could mount some ops to get the main die-asspora bastards like the ones done by israelis to the nazis.
