Just got the vararam installed today onmy 04 hemi 4x4 n man i can definitely tell a difference. It doesnt whistle like all other intakes or anything but when you get on it you can definitely hear it and it sounds badass.
@G3TLOOSHemi actually as it says on their website: "Reduces 0-60mph times by as much as 1 full second on 4x4s and 6 tenths of a second on 2wd hemi trucks" I was just reading about this and going to call them tomorrow to talk to them about it before I install the K&N I just bought in case I want to take it back and buy a vararam
when you put the headers in, did the new headers and stock exhaust setup match or did you have to play around to get ends to meet? if so what did you have to do?
its definitely a good intake, i've had mine for over 2 years now with no issues. the tubes dont seem like the best quality, but mine havent torn in 2 years...so they are good. only downside to the vararam is its size, makes getting around in the engine bay a little rough...but not unbearable. i'd by another...the performance is awesome and the looks are even better. plus they are very affordable now at 350ish...i paid near 500 for mine
quality is good, some dont like it just bc it's plastic...but for the price they are selling it at now (350 vs the 500 i paid) it's a GREAT value, plus they have AWESOME customer service. i've had mine for probably over 2 years now and havent had a single issue...my only complaint is its size...but it looks and performs great, so that makes up for it. and yes you have to disconnect the negative for approx. 2 hours after/during install.
Sounds great. I am the other one with the AEM ebay headers. They should be on next week. They have been sitting in the corner of my garage for what over a year now.
it was a substantial increase...i have a buddy that switched from the k&n intake to the vararam and he said he noticed a night and day difference between the two...the vararam is a solid intake for the money, cant beat the looks either
Sounds damn good bro! Im gonna get some jba shorty's for my titan in the next month or so just to beef up the sound a bit so it'll sound more like this lol
hey thats feakin crazy man love the sound im plannin on gettin one for my ram but one question do they leak from the cutouts or not please comment me bak Thanks Man
thanks bro. yeah they are well worth it. i have a QTP but i think i'd recommend the DMH being that mine just kicked the bucket after about a year and a half or 2 years. and what exactly do you mean by leak? as in water leaking out the exhaust?
haha i dont have a camera! i want to get some more vids..one of these days, i swear. and its MUCH louder in person...it's freaking obnoxious actually.
Damn....gotta get one bro. nice truck. See obnoxiuos is good...sometimes. For example i'm driving a 4 banger ford ranger...obnoxious would flat out be annoying on that truck, thats why i went with magnaflow, it's deep and smooth. But on V8 cars and trucks like this, obnoxious is GOOD!! Rumble Rumble!! haha. gotta love flowmaster
Sure did, i went from an average of about 11 or 12 to an average of 14 or 15 and with my longtubes and cutout i am getting 20 or 21 running 60 on the highway
