  • hy mate how have you got on with ES, i have just built one but iam struggling with elevator management way to twitchy any thoughts

    nick

  • @sparkycrew1 i love this plane, as for being too twitchy, maybe try some expo.

  • Thanks that has helped me.

  • Nice plane. There are some foamies that have airfoil wings that are between a flat and balsa. One thing.. no breakaway on the gear struts? I'd be worried about ripping out the bottom of the fuselage?

  • @notasixpack from what i've seen, and from how light this plane is, I don't think that is really a concern. I haven't flown it yet, but from videos it looks like it will land softly wherever you want it.

  • damn dude that is one sick plane!!

  • wow! that is one crazy looking plane! thats is seriously true 3d, Great video, cant wait to see it in the air!

  • @ramis182 Thanks! Yeah, this will be my first 'real' 3D plane. Foamies can fly very nice, but this should be better :) I can't wait to get it in the air... Stupid snow has killed my backyard flying until it melts though.

  • nice if seen the 240 doing 3d and it rocks

  • hey are ya gonna put a variable pitch prop on a foamie

  • @rcplaneguy1 yes actually. I saw horizonhobby had a vpp setup for sale. I do plan to do that, but I have many projects now, so I don't know when it will happen.

  • cool plane

  • for the servo that control the elevator and the rudder ( the ones closer to the fuselage ) i know you cant move them closer to the body ( because the arms will touch the wood body ) but cant you just flip them around then reverse the servo with he transmitter ??? then the servo will be closer to the body but not have the arm touching it.......no bend

  • @flyingchimp99 Hey. I'm kind of confused by what you mean. Flipping them would either turn the arm towards the other servo, making the bend worse, or it would move the servo arm closer to the nose - this would reduce the bend a little because it has more travel space before reaching the first guide hole, but the servo arms aren't long enough to put the servos in the other way.

  • @earthling1984 oh.....forgot about that the other servo would be in the way......the bends small though so no worries

  • you should buy the MX, its realllllly good, i have one and love it

  • Should think about the Addiction Next.

  • @Lilbanks96 I've heard that one is very good as well. I went with the Electric Shock first because of it was the smallest one available, and I wanted it to be able to fly indoors. Once nice weather comes, I'll probably get a larger PA plane :)

  • nice job --- looking forward to the flight.

  • Looking good.

Metal gear servos are pretty much a necessity on 3D planes with a lot of throw.

Overkill beats stripped nylon, every time.

You could probably get away with using a 9.47 prop, to reduce the risk of burning the motor.

Can't wait to see it flying.

  • @nishbrown Thanks! Yeah, these servos should be good.. they did add like 20g extra to the plane over the stock servos, but that is ok. And thanks for the idea, I might try a 9x4.7... I'll have to get one first though.

  • Can't wait to see the flight video

  • awww...i thought you were gonna get shocked...lol

  • @MyFishies lol
