@stupullen You know that Glen Campbell was actually one of the Beach Boys for a rather short period of time right? Hence the hot-rod music on this album, might have gained him that offer from Brian Wilson and crew. Must have been right before he started to get ready to go solo..
@TheEldoradoKid i have been around the surf music buffs and know it's history well as I do the Ventures and many more, there is no question the at the beach boys had some to do with th fame of this Del-fi reissue otherwise it would not be here on you tube and would have sunken into th abyss of music like many before it and after...and why am I responding to a 2 year old comment?
@stupullen Well thanks for your input, even if it is two years late!, I guess that is the beauty of You tube, just found this last night. Yeah, this is a real period piece with a lot of talent behind the guitar, it's all good, all good...
@jackdbone53 AHH! so that's what the deal is.. I knew there was a connection there somehow! Hmmm.. come to think of it, compare the blazing guitar riffs and changes here with another well known Glen Campbell tune, "Gentle on my Mind". Some of the opening lead-in on that great folk hit almost sounds like a milder acoustic version of some of the wild stuff here.
anyone have this album,I'm looking for one
