Few can see the eye of the needle, let alone walk through it brother.
it is a good video, but upon my research it is the people signature on the note that creates the money, therefore it is the people that are the creditor
To answer some of your comments. We did not choose to present economic system. It was designed and conceived by the bankers of New York with a European flavor added by the Rothschild. Totally against our Constitution. You want to know what fraud is, learn about the Federal Reserve. the money that you carry is corporate money, not US government money. They do as they please, and are not accountable to no one. Are okay with that? In America the land of Free and the Home of the Brave.
The heart of message was the problem caused by net interest drain from purchasing power, which leads to deflation and foreclosure and, a great revelation to me, to an agressive negative-sum game that fosters anti-social fight-for survival competition rather than the joy of producing good for each other. However the solution of competing currencies and barter systems simply added on to the current system is bad. We need fiat money going to households replacing debt bank money. SocialCredit!!!
such a beautiful 'concept'...although...not really a concept, just how the money system started...trade and barter...BUT...how can governments tax you and bleed you through barter with a fellow citizen? THEY CAN'T...they don't want to collect taxes in window cleaning, computer repair, bales of hay...hence they like the present monetary system...'paper' money. iou's they can get their grubby hands on... money they can put in their pockets and put in their dirty, thieving mates' bank vaults...
@potosubs If everyone saved and "invested" their would be no growth in the economy and recessions and depressions would run rampant. Infinite growth is a must in this system and requires constant consumption. So dont claim its people ignorance of money but rather the ignorance of the entire system that sustains it.
Quran 2:268, Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
Thank God for no debt and thank God for Islam! Islam completely forbids usury and the Prophet Muhammad (salla allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to regularly ask God to protect him from being in debt.
@tadpoleposition Every faith I have ever encountered, who worships the supreme creator (Allah, Elohim, God, or whatever name in their tongue they call him) regard usury as sin/debt/ aka just plain wrong. Some "faiths" just buy into it and sell their lives to this lie, and have walked away from their faith. That's what the system is for, to LURE out people who don't hold fast to their confession, and honor their oath they have with their "God"
@tadpoleposition don't all "faiths" lead a believer to the 1 supreme creator? I think that's the absolute point of all faiths. Now that I know Him, I accept that all faiths lead to the One Allah, Dios, Abba, Elohim, Father YHWH (forgive me if I missed some) The same father of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. I accept all faiths that lead a man to Him. As iron sharpens iron, so does one man sharpen another.
It's not How you get there.. just get there and serve him alone.
@gorgeousdzastr "don't all "faiths" lead a believer to the 1 supreme creator?"
No. There are messengers and books that some people leave out while claiming to possess true faith. True faith is only realized when God's terms are met and of those terms, among others, is that you believe in all of His messengers and books. We are not allowed to carve out are own idea of what faith is. We must adhere to the pristine teachings of the individuals who God sent to explain to us what faith really is.
@tadpoleposition and what is faith? This is why I don't "subscribe" to "religion".
Truth is "self evident". It can't be taught, coerced, threatened, forced, or manipulated.. it just is. Because it is revealed by the one true God. Otherwise it's communism.
@gorgeousdzastr The fact you are asking for a definition should be a cause of concern. Without God revealing this information to His chosen messengers, we'd all be stuck grasping at straws trying to figure out these crucial aspects of life.
What you describe as huge ponzi scheme to justify our dependency from banks is false. Interests from loans pay banks' share holders' dividends and banks' employees' salaries. Thus it is re-injected in the real economy and can be used to pay interests from other debts without creating more debts.
Our dependency from the debt system comes from the fact that without money in the economy there is no economy possible; as it is very well described in the video.
@potosubs It's a little thing called life. Loved ones getting sick or dying, getting injured and can no longer work and ect. To blame people for them being paid minimum wage is stupid, and to say they should work harder is even stupider. If that were possible 10-20% of Americans wouldn't be unemployed right now. Someone IS forced into the bottom classes by design. Maybe not on purpose, but we have to look at the effects of the economic system we choose to live under. It's simple to understand.
The money system that we have inherited, i.e. ~ The Bank-Debt Money System, which is the national currency system, for the system to function, the currency has to be scarce, and has to be maintained in scarcity. The job of The Central Banks is to create, and to maintain the scarcity of the currency. If they don't do this, the currency becomes valueless, and it stops functioning. (Continued Below... )
Now, of course what that means is that you have the whole ugly competition for the scarce resource that's there; we have the competition for the artificially scarce dollars, or euros, or whatever, National Bank-Debt Money. This is the paradigm we are living with, a total monopoly of Bank-Debt Money. That is the thing that nobody questions... it has to be a monopoly, and it has to be Bank-Debt Money. Why? A dual currency system would be much more beneficial to a larger number of people.
@CosmicFork Thank you for forwarding this documentary to me ; I really enjoyed it. The transition from the current money/ market system to a mutual credit system seems like the most logical alternative to the current socioeconomic problems the monetary system has produced. In turn strengthing social relations which result in positive emotional connections with one another. A mutual credit system is the next step towards a global RBE if we r to reach what Michio Kaku calls a Type 1 civilization.
@MrThastik Thanks for watching! If we can break free of our current money system, that's based in artificial scarcity, we may be able to reach a Type 1 Civilization. It might break the mold that has held our species back since the beginning. We might be able to lift the limitations of conforming to a centralized, regimented, corporate economy. Above all, we might be able to do away with the greatest tragedy of our era, the centuries old waste of human talent, that we couldn't, or WOULDN'T use!
@potosubs Invest in what? for profit? What is it there to profit? Someones misery? The game is unbalanced; monopoly. Play it, understand it. There is only one winner. Unless none of the players consume.
Bartering is a stupid concept, mainly because it attempts to abolish currency. Like money bartering will have a tenant premise on TRUST...the trust that the service you will receive will be up to par. I find the idea of a local currency more appealing because it keeps the goods and services local and diminishes the effects of corporations that suck towns and cities dry.
This is my opinion, it's not law or facts so understand it's not intended to upset anyone. Thanks!
This is interesting but it's based on the concept of exchange, which is assuming everyone has something to offer. In reality, think about it, most people are practically useless.
Basically what this video is saying is "Interest is Evil"
Koran 3:130 "O you who believe! do not devour usury, making it double and redouble, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you may be successful."
Happiness is a personal issue, a habit of thinking. Life is ruled by having challenges to solve: Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. If life didn't demand more of us than was already present, there'd be little true motivation for greater achievement. I do think it is good to study the history of money, business, investment, general economics, and personal finance for one's own benefit, but as long as one is true and good to people as a basis they'll never be allowed to fall too far.
The point is that people need to realize that our time on this planet is limited... and the accumulation of wealth being your only goal is senseless. Unfortunately, they are speaking of a sort of utopia... but some and probably many communities could and can survive this way. If you look at the Mininites and the Amish... they have been surviving this way since the beginning. Do they use the money of this government also, yes... but they do not need it to survive in their communites.
The biggest trick played on society was that "capitalism" was not just for the Rich. That you to if you applied yourself and worked hard you could become one of the wealthy. You would have to convince me that ninety nine percent of the population was stupid if you wanted me to believe this and that only one percent of our population was smart enough to be millionaires/billionaires. Yes folks a trick has been played on us, on you! We are the biggest fools for believing such lies.
It seems everyone involved in this documentary is oblivious to the fact that people judge quality of life competitively. Of course it is very pious to talk about mutual credit and less competetive environments but the fact is nobody,no matter what they claim, wants to live in a society where everyone is equally equipped and equally satisfied. Our self worth is based on competitive behaviour which is what is expressed by our financial status. Or do you think i am being too narrow minded?
@leechenstein I believe you have been conditioned perfectly. Personally, I don't CARE if people are doing better or worse. I'm not some hippie sitting in a forest smoking hemp and speaking to the trees. I don't sit around wondering why we don't all love each other or any spiritual nonsense like that... I just do no care for competition... believe it or not.. again.. I don't care.. and it's irrelevant... I am the only judge as to the quality of my life and I enjoy that freedom every day.
"but the fact is nobody,no matter what they claim, wants to live in a society where everyone is equally equipped and equally satisfied. Our self worth is based on competitive behaviour which is what is expressed by our financial status" Actually I am a person who wishes that everyone be equally equipped and equally satisfied... my happiness should be exist because someone else lives in misery... it is a poor state of affairs for all humanity that people believe this to be true.
unsold national debt is the only reason the system hasn't collapsed yet. the government prints and spends money into circulation when they go into debt. the money is deleted when the debt is sold as bonds. $9T of the national debt is sold. $5T of the national debt is not sold and is temporarily debt-free.
henry george debunked the "scarcity" paradigm (malthusian theory) in his book progress and poverty. henry george was the best-selling american economist. strange how few people know about him. there is a book on that subject as well written by fred harrison and mason gaffney called the corruption of economics. mason gaffney also published the strategem against henry george.
Services I have available for barter: Communications Training, Acting, Acting Coaching, Reading, Writing, Directing, Business Advertising, Video Production, etc...

Banks do not loan "money" they convert our signed " promissory notes" into a bank assets, then they sell those asset to other banks and or investors, and convince us we owe, when in fact, there was NO LOAN....
These guys have a basic minimal concept. For real answers read: "What has the Government done to our money" by Murray Rothbard, It's free on the internet in pdf, just search for it in Google.
These people have a basic concept and history of money, but have no idea of what money is. Their conclusions are just so blatantly wrong. Money is a commodity, and it does hold value on it's own, it is not a claim on society. The current fiat and digital system is different entirely, and cannot last on it's own. This will soon be seen. Money over time will always revert to it's natural state, a commodity, with value to society on it's own.
awesome...i have hope for human kind once more...is this the kingdom of god come to earth...the New Heaven and the New Earth...isn't this what Jesus would have us do? Change the "atmosphere" we live in.
Finally I'd state that this doesn't solve the all of the issues with a monetary system. Things it doesn't fix are: the issue with usury, generational wealth, uneven distribution and monopoly control of the means of production. It -does- fix some of the issues though, and has the advantage of being doable without needing to recourse to overthrowing the government.
Of course, one issue exists. Taxes. At current, one of the prime value generating aspects of federal currency is the demand for it generated by the government in the form of taxes. Money has value in large part because land owners need money in order to pay property tax. If this is not paid they lose the land. And -they- must get it from someone, so they demand it for their goods and services. Some federal currency will still be required to pay such fees.
@iriswaters ... cont. It seems like this would get us partway there and then at some point we could change how government operates once there is widespread consensus.
Another difficulty is that this does cheat the system of taxes. Which is problematic first because taxes -do- pay for very nice, important things like roads, schools, police, fire, etc. And also because pissing off the government makes it angry. Our government right now is a thing all it's own apart from the will of the people
It doesn't matter if everyone conducts their affairs well. Because less money is -ever- created than is needed to pay back loans. This creates a scarcity in the money supply. There will always be some who perform less well, or is less lucky. Much like in a race there will always be someone who comes in last(even if all the players improve). And whoever loses goes bankrupt. It's built into the system.
Similar to how one cannot blame the poor for the unemployment rate.
What has come to my attention is that whenever a documentary gets released that aims to wake up humanity from this monetary oblivion there is always a 3% to 4% that finds it a bad idea. Its always the same figure. So if this is a general trend it means that actually we are enslaved to a paradigm that only 4% supports yet 100% has to endure and suffer.

@potosubs I can see you have many questions. I would strongly recommend that you see the documentary called "The Secret of Oz" by Bill Still as well as this one. It have won several awards and is very informative.
And .. Costa rica is as far as I know a part of the US commonwealth and should then be working the same fashion as in the US (costa rica being the origin you have stated on your youtube channel). Correct me if I'm wrong :)
@vimeocomuk There is no tax on trade for a reason. "You help me now & I help you in the future." It's a deal between you and me. And just so we don't forget, I give you a sheet of paper, saying that I owe you X hours of my time. It's a promise to return the favor. Feel free to trade it with someone else. They are welcome to return it to me for the services. We're not evading tax. It's just a perfectly legal trade circle with bookkeeping skills.
Currency = currency = baaaa. Just transcend it, yo. No money. Just none. Kills me that we get through 2/3 of this documentary only to go BACK TO MONEY. We have enough of almost everything, and whatwe don't we could have with proper technological and scientific application.TRANSCEND IT, yo.
Nice film and nice idea! But i can not see how corruption and competition will disappear, and fraud? Its gonna be people whit more "money" here to, and who gonna pay for safety like hospital and medical care and insurance. I still think the resource based economy sounds better.
@Banzay20 Let's assume anybody can write IOUs. Everybody has access to anything they need in return for the promise of future services. This adds "money" to the pool, making the community richer. Hording the money won't make it grow, so there is no point. Spending it for luxuries will return it to the community. The few assholes who don't return the favors don't hurt the community. Just the value of their word. After a while the community will be so rich that we'll end up in a Venus City.
@AerynMartin Ok, its worth a try! We have to take the banks from the bankers then, arent we?! It better be a transition to a saner world soon, before we have destroyed it completely!
@Banzay20 No need to take anything from anyone, no. That's the beauty of this solution. No revolution required. No change at the top of the system required. It can be accomplished purely from the bottom up.
@iriswaters It may work in USA where its starting to be turbulence out on the streets, but here in Sweden its not so much, hopefully its spreading here. But people have jobs (of course not everybody) and the crime level are relatively low compared to USA, because of that no body seems to care.
@Banzay20 Well, yeah, but Sweden has a sane political/economic system going on by comparison to the US. High upper end taxes, strong wealth redistribution and a strong social welfare ethic. People aren't looking to change things in Sweden because you've got one of the best systems in the world, and some of the happiest people. Let systems like this build themselves up in the places where the current system has so thoroughly failed, eventually it will come to Sweden if it works out.
You can't polish a turd guys....the whole thing nurtures an environment of abstraction, corruption and fraud. Sure sovereign money and reform will be BETTER. But the same snakes that are doing this now have had their toenails trimmed in the past: Andrew Jacksons headstone reads: 'I killed the bank'..... sadly he didn't... they are alive and well... and what's to stop this class of people finding new ways to manipulate the financial system. Another few generations of X-factor should do it.
Great film. It's about time this stuff is getting out there in many forms. A man named Jacque Fressco has been saying the same things for about 40 years. Check out the Venus Project and you will see lectures and interviews with this man. The individual that said the body doesn't compete but works together, Jacque said that in a 1974 interview with Larry King. Better late then never I suppose.
The Liberty Dollar was a grass roots currency in Evansville, Indiana which was seized by the FBI for counterfeiting. The trial is pending but I don't see a positive outcome.
had this film proposed the prospect of a resource based economy as put forth by the venus project, i would have given this film 10 out of 10 and recommended it to everyone. instead now i'll say "yeah the first 40 mins is good..."
@pliskin619 Imagine this, the society will be in such harmony that everyone is a teacher for one another. Its not about getting paid, its about sharing to better your life and the other persons. Teachers wont be the conventional ones you see in schools anymore. I guess i still havnt been indoctrinated enough by our current system to make me believe that money is always scarce and we need to kill each other to thrive :)
Really great stuff. If you are interested in this type of stuff, you may find "The Venus Project" and "The Zeitgeist Movement" beneficial to these topics.
The best explanation of the bizarre bogus myth of money that I have ever seen. I need to watch this twice to get the nuances I missed, and I suggest you do the same.
Psyop propaganda. "Decentralize" money... The premise is correct, yes, moeny should be viewed as a form of commerce and the concept of FIAT should be explained. But it should also be HEAVILY centralized and backed by a strong military. Read Stephen Zarlenga's book, "The Lost Science Of Money".
@dmfdmf3 wealth of nations (1776) by adam smith is a good primer on why decentralized money is a bad idea. the government should print the money debt-free and spend in circulation. it is the only way to manage the supply to prevent the destructive forces of deflation and to a lesser degree inflation, though inflation itself isn't that bad since it encourages production and allows the economy to grow (employment) to negate the inflation. zarlenga and lincoln have better plans.
@jeepndesert i recommend the works of bill still, ellen brown, and michael hudson as well. zarlenga and lincoln are definite authorities on the topic of monetary reform. they killed lincoln for it (gerry mcgeer's book).

I can give my "opinion" about what I believe the aspects of life are, but it may not be true to you. But, if what I speak, is revealed in you by 'God' to be the truth, That is the truth. But, nothing else I say is true even if it is THE truth; It's just second hand knowledge to another.

Thank God for no debt and thank God for Islam! Islam completely forbids usury and the Prophet Muhammad (salla allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to regularly ask God to protect him from being in debt.
tadpoleposition 4 months ago
@tadpoleposition Every faith I have ever encountered, who worships the supreme creator (Allah, Elohim, God, or whatever name in their tongue they call him) regard usury as sin/debt/ aka just plain wrong. Some "faiths" just buy into it and sell their lives to this lie, and have walked away from their faith. That's what the system is for, to LURE out people who don't hold fast to their confession, and honor their oath they have with their "God"
Not many people pass this test hu?

tadpoleposition 2 months ago
@tadpoleposition don't all "faiths" lead a believer to the 1 supreme creator? I think that's the absolute point of all faiths. Now that I know Him, I accept that all faiths lead to the One Allah, Dios, Abba, Elohim, Father YHWH (forgive me if I missed some) The same father of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. I accept all faiths that lead a man to Him. As iron sharpens iron, so does one man sharpen another.
It's not How you get there.. just get there and serve him alone.
Shalom, peace
gorgeousdzastr 2 months ago
@gorgeousdzastr "don't all "faiths" lead a believer to the 1 supreme creator?"
No. There are messengers and books that some people leave out while claiming to possess true faith. True faith is only realized when God's terms are met and of those terms, among others, is that you believe in all of His messengers and books. We are not allowed to carve out are own idea of what faith is. We must adhere to the pristine teachings of the individuals who God sent to explain to us what faith really is.
tadpoleposition 2 months ago
@tadpoleposition and what is faith? This is why I don't "subscribe" to "religion".
Truth is "self evident". It can't be taught, coerced, threatened, forced, or manipulated.. it just is. Because it is revealed by the one true God. Otherwise it's communism.
There is a difference between faith and religion.
I wasn't referring to religion which kills.
gorgeousdzastr 2 months ago

MrThastik 3 months ago
@MrThastik Thanks for watching! If we can break free of our current money system, that's based in artificial scarcity, we may be able to reach a Type 1 Civilization. It might break the mold that has held our species back since the beginning. We might be able to lift the limitations of conforming to a centralized, regimented, corporate economy. Above all, we might be able to do away with the greatest tragedy of our era, the centuries old waste of human talent, that we couldn't, or WOULDN'T use!

Thanks!

I just do no care for competition... believe it or not.. again.. I don't care.. and it's irrelevant... I am the only judge as to the quality of my life and I enjoy that freedom every day.

unsold national debt is the only reason the system hasn't collapsed yet. the government prints and spends money into circulation when they go into debt. the money is deleted when the debt is sold as bonds. $9T of the national debt is sold. $5T of the national debt is not sold and is temporarily debt-free.

Finally I'd state that this doesn't solve the all of the issues with a monetary system. Things it doesn't fix are: the issue with usury, generational wealth, uneven distribution and monopoly control of the means of production. It -does- fix some of the issues though, and has the advantage of being doable without needing to recourse to overthrowing the government.
iriswaters 9 months ago
Of course, one issue exists. Taxes. At current, one of the prime value generating aspects of federal currency is the demand for it generated by the government in the form of taxes. Money has value in large part because land owners need money in order to pay property tax. If this is not paid they lose the land. And -they- must get it from someone, so they demand it for their goods and services. Some federal currency will still be required to pay such fees.
iriswaters 9 months ago
@iriswaters ... cont. It seems like this would get us partway there and then at some point we could change how government operates once there is widespread consensus.
Another difficulty is that this does cheat the system of taxes. Which is problematic first because taxes -do- pay for very nice, important things like roads, schools, police, fire, etc. And also because pissing off the government makes it angry. Our government right now is a thing all it's own apart from the will of the people
iriswaters 9 months ago
@potosubs

Banzay20 9 months ago
@Banzay20 Well, yeah, but Sweden has a sane political/economic system going on by comparison to the US. High upper end taxes, strong wealth redistribution and a strong social welfare ethic. People aren't looking to change things in Sweden because you've got one of the best systems in the world, and some of the happiest people. Let systems like this build themselves up in the places where the current system has so thoroughly failed, eventually it will come to Sweden if it works out.
