Ahh My favorite of all, The music that made me become the person I am today, and so I pledge to compell this music upon the minds of the youth to impose such a great Idea that world will become a much better place for my children. Many Thanks you Paganini.
paganini him self played first the melody, then cut highest string, then played it again, cut the secend highest string and so on until he played it whit just one string.. and he created tapping too..
@Kekspere theres been sayings that one of paganini's strings broke during a concert and he was able to immediately transpose it and play it all on the next string.
The title "La Campanella" fits Liszt's arrangement for piano so much better, the high notes imitating so well the sound of little bells! That doesn't take anything away from the quality of Paganini's original version though
@jgsky No, it was nicknamed "La Campanella" because of the handbell that Paganini uses to reinforce the main theme. Although I'll agree, the Liszt arrangement definitely fits the title -- it's absolutely gorgeous! (And so is this ... I love it, I'd never thought to look up the inspiration for Liszt's "Paganini Etudes!"

I believe paganini nicknamed this movement la campanella...
pianomaster272 2 years ago
@pianomaster272
he did.
Liszt's just transcribed six of Paganini's violin works for the piano and called them ''Transcendental Etudes after Paganini''
VodkaAce 1 year ago
I feel that the piano version is more on the spot and more direct. Either way, they both sound amazing.
