All in all, the games are not as great as the last one but they are still good. I would like to see no pyramid head (he is used too much and no points either), no re-used monsters (be creative), etc.
SH: Downpour looks rather original and interesting focusing more on the town itself. And NO Pyramid Head. Whew. Also not really close to the movie either. That awful SH false movie. >.<
SH3: Good sequel to SH1 and was really decent but more combat heavy
SH4: It was okay not the best compared to SH2 or SH1 but still great
SH Shattered Memories: Pretty well made; a recommendation
SH Homecoming: Really combat heavy, interesting and well made for a Western version; again not the best; did not like the movie adaptations as much....
SH Origin: an interesting preview of the beginning of SH series

I am a Silent Hill fan. here' s my input.
SH1: Pretty excellent
SH2: Better than SH1
