Coast Starlight with private cars California Zephyr

My wife and I rode in the Silver Solarium a few years ago from Emeryville to Denver and back, with 3 nights in the car. It was once-in-a-lifetime experience...lots of fun!

yes indeed that is the Canadian a very fine train indeed..and as for these two cars that Silver Iris is a 10-6 sleeper and the Silver Solarium in a bedroom dome lounge I have been on both railcars...in a few days I will be on the Silver Quail a 14 bedroom sleeper..

it was really good I had a very nice time I am a regular on that car....he did a good job restoring it back to it old CZ appearence with the usuall modern add on's associated with the Amtrak requirements

I heard these cars are going to be on 3751 trip this coming May 2009.

I wouldnt doubt it at all they use them for the first class section of those trips alot

Hey, did you go to Canada ? You might able to catch Via Rail Canada train like this silver car!

not usually, but I dont have a passport lol. I didnt have any reason to go up to Canada lol
