It's really taken off where I live - sometimes you see tiny Asian girls sporting hijabs that more than double the size of their heads, it's mad.

Forgive me if i'm wrong but this isn't necessarily a camel hump? As the 'hump' itself doesn't exceed the height of the highest point of her head. Just saying.

Care must be taken to idolatry, moreover the angels do not fit into one piece if it is exposed images. Things are also lurking discouraged. Takes as an advice I give to my sister the Name of Allah. I was wondering how do you keep from sticking yourself with those pins? (I'm a really klutzy) Also I was wondering would it be disrespectful to purchase a scarf designed for a hijab and not wear it as one? The hijab material is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. @oceanslight i am not Muslim, but love scarves, and i have walked into the Muslim shops here and had people be very helpful (just , take it from me, if you go in person you will feel very under dressed unless you are REALLY covered up) the scarves are not a special material, or "sacred" or blessed. (just always stay away from ones with writing on them since you wont be able to read it) i shop at Jewish stores like Tznius and Muslim stores for scarves all the time
do u no the tafsir that is with that hadith? have you read what the scholars have said? well i suggest u do, as the hadith thats in relation to the camel hump is spilt into 4 parts and its refering to women that DONT COVER.

@truthsayer3000 If u want to give advice to the sister, then u speak to her with respect. This is not how we as brothers and sister shud speak 2 each other. No ones perfectly practising the deen like Muhammed saw, but we all try to do our best. I use to wear makeup wen I became muslim with headscarve n regular clothes, overtime with more reading n my own decision I stopped. But u speaking 2 people like dat is not way to help, trust me.
I am a Christian and I cover my head (though not as extensively as a Muslimah does.) While I do not agree with Islam, I can appreciate the reasoning for hijab. It is very modest and helps to conceal your chest and something that most people don't realize can be a sexual thing - your hair. It is good to see a younger lady like yourself trying to stand up for what you believe. It certainly makes a statement and makes it plan who and what you are!! You are a woman of faith who values modesty!!

@truthsayer3000 If u want to give advice to the sister, then u speak to her with respect. This is not how we as brothers and sister shud speak 2 each other. No ones perfectly practising the deen like Muhammed saw, but we all try to do our best. I use to wear makeup wen I became muslim with headscarve n regular clothes, overtime with more reading n my own decision I stopped. But u speaking 2 people like dat is not way to help, trust me.

I am a Christian and I cover my head (though not as extensively as a Muslimah does.) While I do not agree with Islam, I can appreciate the reasoning for hijab. It is very modest and helps to conceal your chest and something that most people don't realize can be a sexual thing - your hair. It is good to see a younger lady like yourself trying to stand up for what you believe. It certainly makes a statement and makes it plan who and what you are!! You are a woman of faith who values modesty!!

maybe it's because i'm not Muslim but i don't get why some say she can't have pretty fabric? not trollin i'm genuinely curios u can message me or reply to this but i really would like to know. i've see ladies put as much effort and flair into their hijab as some women put into their hair i had a teacher who was always putting them together in layers and wrapping them in diff ways so that in two semesters she never wore the same thing twice...and she said she had a pair of shoes for every scarf.

It's valued in a relationship. A woman has rights. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) respected his wives and from that respect the wives were obedient. Women are not objects. WOMEN are our mothers, sisters, grandmothers. Who are you to say they are objects? You have a mother and she is a woman.
