I like how some of the dalek blasts were actually hitting the other daleks rather than keep missing as in the original. Perhaps go further with that. Instead of having them missing each other a lot still at such close range, have all the shots connect with effects to indicate that they are wearing down each other's shielding. That way the daleks dont look like such awful shots, but instead much more powerful because they need to take a lot of damage to go down.
Also you seemed to cut off the music as each scene changed. Keep playing the same tracks to help in transition and set tone.
One change I didn't like was the Doctor shooting the dalek with laser rather than ballistics. I know ballistics were a choice on behalf of the director and I do think it adds something to the 'drama' since viewers can identify with the sort of impact damage more.
@TFblueshift I didn't do the deactivation as well as I could have so I can see how you thought it was a laser because I never intended to replace the original gun fire
That was pretty amazing. I think the grading worked well and most of the effects were great and really added some oomph. A few comments:
The music was a bit too much. Not every scene needs music and you seemed to want to use every single piece of New Who music in a short time, it felt quite off. Tonally as well you had some bombastic music in scenes which were just characters talking, and then the etherial 'Doctors theme' when Colin does the 'shaking the hand' joke.

I do hope they give Revelation the same treatment they gave Day of the Daleks (improved Dalek voices, updated FX) Revelation is a great story that is only hindered by its poor production qualities. I believe for the Revelation they improved some of the SFX but there's more work to be done with it. Usually I don't watch the updated SFX that comes with the new DVDs (like Dalek Invasion) but this is the one story where the effects really distract. Most of the time I don't mind the SFX
Hm, I definitely liked the colour corrections- gave the story a nice bit of atmosphere. Could do without the new voices and music, though, as I don't think they needed changing in the first place (Especially the music).
I liked a lot of the new VFX shots and the sound mix, but found overall the grade really destroyed a lot of detail on the faces and in the depth of the shots. In short; not keen on the crushed blacks.

@TheAndrew179 because the white daleks obey davros and the grey daleks obey the supreme dalek which makes them enemy's which is also why the grey daleks take davros prisoner because he made the white daleks... if that made sense
@TheAndrew179 Because you have two dalek factions. The grey daleks want to put davros on trial for his crimes and obey the surpreme dalek and the white daleks are those which serve davros. These divisions between dalek factions are seen further in Rememberance :D x
An absolute epic! Really outstanding work!!! but i always thought that Resurrection of the Daleks need the remastering badly(oh wait i see you've already done that one). Loved the dalek battle. Only suggestion is maybe make the dalek beams move faster. over than that loooooved it !!!! :) How did you do the dalek voices and what feq did you use?
@AnubisX1 I used gold wave using the mechanize effect, set it the pre-set to helicopter and frequency to 30, but my best advice with a dalek voice is the performance is more important than the effect

Wow. That is very impressive. It looks as though the BBC themselves remastered this to the full. Well done. This is incredible. It really is, and I'm not just saying that for the sake of it. This is a piece of work to be proud of.

As Davros would say... 'Excellent!' Like Day, Revelation is a brilliant Dalek story let down by some pretty naff Dalek voices. This re-editing was done brilliantly - I particularly loved the modern dalek noises and dalek views!
If you ever want to do something similar again I would love to see Revenge of the Cybermen reedited to give the Cybermen voices more like their modern incarnations... minus the 'Delete' of course!

A great re-do of a Dalek story with poor voices and visuals. Top notch mate. Really good. I'd love to see some more of these really long FX re-do's. You should have a go at a compilation next time, with just lots of different randon scenes with new FX put in.
