@sweetasiapooh umm she got it from winners and its the one that has that golden looking coating to protect the hair...i'll ask her for the name and try to get back to you.
@mzsongzbaby flat iron with shea buter...make sure the flat iron is as hot as your hair can handle...dont take so much hair at a time when running the iron through it...avoid chuncks of hair...try to flat iron streaks of hair not uneven chunks.
Oh my goodness. I am really thankful that I have stumbled across your videos. I purchased some shea butter about three weeks ago. At first I wasn't too sure about using it when I flat iron my hair because I worry about having that heavy feeling to my hair when I use similar products. BUT like you said in your video, you really don't need that much at all and Im truly happy with my results! My hair looks and feels healthy and it's flowy. I hope you realize that you and your insight are a blessing
BTW, thank you and your hubby. When my TWA grows out, I will attempt to copy your method of flat ironing. Your natural hair looks so wonderful. Thank you so much for being generous to share.
Is the shea butter that your using while your flat ironing your hair the same from that big block of shea butter you had during the giveaway? If so how did you get it to look almost like a thick lotion substance??
@babiixcrazii It's bad to use heat on your hair in general :x there are certain oils and butters that will cook your hair bc of the melting and boiling points but I mean it's the same for serums and other things like that. I use the shea butter and it does wonders against heat damage; I wear my hair curly 90% of the time so I need something that won't destroy my curls. I'd rather use a food grade product than laden my hair w silicones and chemicals bc they absorb into your body anyway and cook
i noticed that my hair never comes out as good when i blow dry.My hair would break off.So now i air dry for now on and i noticed a total difference from when i first started and now. When i straighten my hair its softer and silkier i'm so happy that i made the change haha.So your right blow dry don't do it :)
@ladydipset88 good question...i just looked it up and found this on ehow(dot)com:
Heat Protection
•Protect African hair during heat styling by using shea butter. Shea Butter absorbs quickly into the hair without leaving a greasy feel. Yet it coats the hair strand to protect against heat damage while it allows for smooth passing of the heat appliance over the hair.
@sweetfm2008 i heard about using shea butter for twist outs and braid outs sooo long ago and just started using it recently...i had no idea it was sooo great for flat ironing too though, i just LOOOOVE IT lol!!...thank you :)
Hello, Meeka..., I have a question, the Shea Butter that u r using, is it raw unrefined, meaning is it pure or did you add anything to it? I understand what u r saying as to how Shea Butter is good for your hair, just wanted to know if you have added anything to the SB. Thanks, keep the videos coming ;-)
