  • A great dance!

Question? When I was a child the tartans were worn diagonally. When did they become horizontal?

  • Great Dancing !

  • Oh i hate the reverse step!

  • Aww i remember having 2 do that dance in front of my whole Primary school in P3. Not cool.

  • really good keep it up cos once u get to my age of 24 u wont be able to compete and its a shame cos i wish i still was but im still dancing xx

  • i have a comepitition today !!!!!!

  • that was really good......your kilt is a really nice colour.

i used to be a highland dancer but i have something wrong with my knees now so i cant dance :(

  • Love ur kilt its so pretty!!!! mine is green but my new one is purple like urs!!!

  • this was really good!! good job and i love the kilt.

the person who posted below me is not a dancer, right? because it would be really hard to actually know about highland dance and not do a sword. i'm sure we've all seen men do floras; why would this be different? seriously, learn what highland is before dissing this awesome dancer.

  • she was a bit quick at some parts but ive seen worse

  • Nice work. Hope you keep it up, and teach the next generation.

  • Powerfull and elegant.

    Congratulations my ladys

  • i really love your kilt.

Mine is dress wine sutherland and im thinking about getting a new one.

    What tartan is that?

Oh and by the way, that was an incredile sword. You're amazing, keep it up:)

  • Really good! Well done on getting first! my only criticism was in the last step your arms were getting a bit lop sided! but a brilliant sword X

  • As much as I appreciate tradition the sword dance really is quite funny looking, though I KNOW it takes A LOT of talent. Just goofy looking.

  • Very well executed

  • lassie that is the second best sword dance i have seen, keep up the good work. soon you will be the best!

  • not for dancers you twit

  • Awesome!

I am new to this style of dancing, but it looks fun to do (have to be strong), is very interesting, is quite lovely, and sure as heck beats out ballroom.

    I love highland dancing!

  • If I tried something like this the doctor in the audience would ask; "Heart attack?"

My response would be; "No, thanks, I'm already having one."

Really have to be in shape to dance like this.

And it is, of course, quite lovely. Almost as lovely as the young lass doing the dancing.

  • pretty good there :) Watch your backbeats in your PDB's...you're picking up a low flat foot, I would point it a bit.

    Very nice

  • whoa, I know you , you compete in BC right? Cause you look familiar! Did you go to the Provencials in Calgary I did, I was nuber 1202 in Begineer 12 and older! Anyways good job!

  • You're a very strong dancer! I'm sure you're doing well in Premier!

  • very good !! i perfromed it yesterday and kicked the sword twice ! xxxxx

  • no way the sword is one of the easiest ones its usualy the second dance you learn the fling is always first but u do need to be very good to make the dance look good!

  • Was this in Calgary this summer?

  • haha thanks.. did you compete bullseyegurl?

  • Ahhh! That was one stressfull competition eh? Really fun though. Good job by the way!

  • Wow!

  • you are a very strong dancer but watch your corners on your first step your turning too quick, also same in the pointing step if you have a text book about highland dancing look it up and see the amount of body turn needed in the swords,

    Happy Dancing from Scotland

  • It's new to me but I love this stuff :) gives me goose bumps

  • I don't know too much about highland dances however the sword dance seems to be hardest / complicated and most beautiful one. You are dancing really good.

  • Tsk, if you must get up and walk off, at least have the decency to wait until the dancing's finished :)

  • who got up and walked off? i didn't see anyone.

baby12345: this was good, better than your last one, but that's because you're older, too, and have had a chance to practice more. is your dress purple or blue?

  • At 00.56...Some ppl are so rude! I also saw this guy talking through the performance, earlier! *Tut tut*

Simpy beautiful performance, tho. Congrats on placing so well! Can see that you worked very hard!

  • good dance, nice legs, hehe

  • good dance
