I know Christians who are against Prop-8 and have friends who are gay/lez/bi and treat them as human beings as they should be.

I was speaking about the one I was at.

Me and my friend tried to maintain our group... since somehow they looked at us to lead them. We even reminded them to ignore the Yes on 8 people and when they finally left, they threw bottles and signs and wood.

One of the girls actually required stitches.

At another rally, we were threatened with a baseball bat. And when I asked a yes on 8 girl her opinions and what not, she just kept telling me I don't know her life, and that I was going to burn in hell instead of honestly talking to me about it. I've also seen numerous parents tell their children to call me a faggot. That bothered me the most.

So from my experiences in the IE, our side generally tried to maintain a cool head.
