@il2gambit we Germans didnt forget about him!! we are taught to hate ww2 and all of our soldiers.. But there are still a lot of Germans that know who Hartmann,Rommel, Rüdel are and we hold them in high regard. My family comes from where Hartmann was born here in Germany. I am blonde blue eyed and look a little bit like herr Hartmann:-)

Erich Hartman probably would have listened to Beethoven and Strauss and other classical music, with maybe a little pop on the side, songs like "Lille Marlene" and such.
