  • Have to hand in an assignment 'bout it. Great video. More interseting than wikipedia

  • I love how the top two comments are the same

  • excellent!

  • nice video.. very interesting...

  • nice video!

  • great demonstration...like it

  • This is a very well done demonstration. Superb!

  • 1 person has no EEG activity.

  • Wii vitality sensor... TAKE THAT!

  • @estp23010 cant do research with Wii. can with emotiv

  • Wii vitality sensor... TAKE THAT!

  • That wasn't a demonstration. :I

  • what's up with the subtitles?

  • How much would one of these cost though =p

  • @thenewchance 299$

  • @ReyFenix666 oh wow!! thought it would be like $5000+ or something crazy like that.

  • Read the novel brainjack by Brian Falkner.

  • game consoles have progressed in a very a high level for ten years so if you think about it we are really in a fast pace in techs so imagine a decadee from now how we are going to live.better techs....androids, mechs, and maybe this technology can recreate your own dreams and make it a game..(anything just think about it do what ever the hell you want to do about it, for example flying, create chaos to a city with super man powers, and for men; create hot women).. of course nothing is for sure.

  • @michon96 A game of my dreams would be a really scary place... lol

  • @michon96

There are certainly a lot of possibilities but the proper software would have to progress tremendously before this could accurately recreate our dreams or to really make anything meaningful out of them.

So far it seems the technology works better with better focus. Dreams on the other hand are notoriously incoherent. It would be amazing if they could get a reasonable interpretation from a person's dream, but that's likely MUCH further down the line if it's even possible to achieve.

  • The idea for the arrows and to use mind control in humanoid robotics (Honda did copy my idea for Asimo) , or to move the cursor of the mouse in the computer were mine... now watch this... if you use the squared screen with augmented reality in your cell phone or eye glasses... then you will be able to do more... I have even more ideas to implement... but this is for later... you can watch my website with the most complete Humanoid Robot list in the World in the mean time...

  • You really need to make a version with a camera, and two screens for the eyes, So you could have 3d augmented reality, with motion, and thought control!

  • At 0:22:08 it seems that the dude has experimented with other brain related substances aswell.

  • This would be awesome to combine with a game controller, move with the controller and do Jedi Force tricks with that emotive thingy :P

  • I was actually talking to a computer programmer about this earlier and we're in development of something similar to what you're talking about.

  • @ZephyrEcho Awesome :D

  • if people practice this enough, it would be sweet to actually bring the force into reality!! like causeing the brian to actually move stuff in reality!!!

  • ::: MASSIVE FORMULA :::

    ∑ (Onlive, Cryengine3, Emotiv Epoc, real3D)

    ...2012 Gamers' Apocaliptica

  • lol that's genius

  • I dont have to be studip!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well I sure hope the patent office where you applied to is smart enough to decline your patents, since doctors have been matching neural stimulations to specific emotions and such in order to try to determine how someone feels and what they want for many years now, and this is that + some sensor configuration and memorization software.

  • I sure hope you aren't a patent attorney.

  • I want a memory chip in my brain, imagine being able to remember a terabyte of information.

  • Wow, that would be very little.

And you'd have to develope a code for memorizing emotions, interpretation, the extremly more vast visual and audio data..

  • Not if its just basic facts, like a language, or mathematics. Its already being worked on.

  • Ok, you may have a dictionary but mathematics are more like.. calculated by easy basic calculations. Only reason to have memory there is so you dont exceed the limits while pushing the numbers.

Stuff you can google, yes that you can store, but what good would be 'just a terabyte' of googleknowledge do?

  • Whats the difference between someone with a PhD and someone without one? Information, its all just information.

  • If you had a terrabyte of google knowledge relating to microchip datasheets you could take apart anything, pull out whatever chips you need, and know their pinout/characteristics so you could use them to build something else. That'd be useful. No more time spent looking at data sheets, you'd just know.

  • if this does come out in stores i am going to buy five of them for my family but i will use my one to control my robotic arm i have. that has a built in usb interface for pc!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol funky then ud get so angry ud end up braking all ur stuff lol!

  • i just had an amazing idea! what about a hulk game, where you would have to literally get angry in order to change?? that would be so frickin cool.

  • I wonder if the headset relies more on the gyroscopes for "mindreading" aspect. Watch during sensei demo how demonstrator moves his head forward to "push" and rotates his head to "spin" the box. About halfway through demo @35 mins.

  • Longest video I've watched on youtube, but I watched it all and all of it was quite interesting.

  • If you can't read inside the brain you're very limited in what you can do.

It will not be a break through until they do that.

  • They seem to be hyping other aspects of the system to the #1 reason we really want this.. Cognitive control.. The rest just seem like bonuses once you look at emokey and telepathy like control of objects... I can just imagine playing wow or warhammer (darkfall!)including moving via wasd or esdf, or arrow num pad keys, and playing completely hands free. I know it wouldn't be great for pvp at first. What about a special BG where you HAVE to use the headset for everything but moving! ideas!
