very nice work man, love ur mod, specially the flaps and the soundmodule. I put in flaps i my FMS Spit 2 but i have to say i have some problems with them. I cant find a good setting to land, the plane does not slow down much and seem to float and float till it stalls, can u tell me a bit about the flaps u installed, the angles u use, whats a 100%, like 45°? would be really helpful, anyway nice mod- only one tiny thing maybe, its such a cool plane, so please go get a nice 4-bladed prop ;)
@WarbirdFan66 Thanks mate. I'll get back to you regarding the flaps....I'll measure them for you. Yep, I'd love a 4 blader too. I have a 3 blader currently & it looks good & goes well, but the 4 would be the icing on the cake. Have u seen the flying vid of it?
@WarbirdFan66 Mate, sorry. I promised I'd get back to you...It took longer than planned. Full flaps are about 35' & I have a servo-slow unit to make the speed of extension manageable. I haven't used any elevator mixing because I select gear then flaps immediately. The drag of the gear counters any balloon of the flaps, so it's easy to control. Hope that helps. Cheers.

@kizza42 Thanks K. Yep, you are right. On the second one. The hole on the back plate is slightly larger than the shaft so I have to line it up perfectly while holding the model up vertically. Sometimes I get it a bit wrong.
Very cool! Random aerodynamics question: Does the model have the same washout that the real one does to help improve it's stall characteristics? If not, how well does it handle stalls?
@Kodiak31415 Thanks. Apparently the model does have some washout. It likes the speed to be maintained in turns however or it will tip stall. I have set a bit of up aileron on both sides to create a bit of "artificial" washout.
looks like it's seen some combat action

@anthnchav9 Yep, it's been involved in the Blitzkrieg of my garage, and the Battle of the Back of the Car. :) (Oh, and a landing in a tree!)

Cool. You even have a BB replica piloting the plane. :D

@RC62 Yeah, haha. Just trying to keep the realism alive.

Sounds AWESOME BB!
Looking out for the flight vid.
I flew my Cmpro spitty yesterday (same paint scheme as urs).
2 flights. 1 hairy landing with a tumble and 1 perfect landing finally. LOVE the Spitties!

Looks great, It may be rolling shutter/sensor wobbles but I think your spinner needs some straightening/balancing!

I could always buy a new spinner............nah.

That looks like an awesome model. I always wanted to get a B24 model in a larger scale so I could rain leaflets throughout my city ;-)
Sounded like a good way to get extra YT views, right?
dodgerider26 3 months ago
@dodgerider26 Yeah you could do that.....I guess. You might want to use a different YT user name though...just so you can't be traced. Just sayin' :)
