14b came with a TDO4 and TDO5 compressor. 13G came with a TDO4 compressor also. When you say TDO4 orTDO5=14b or 13g that's like saying turbine=compressor. It's two different things. TDO5x came on various turbos from 14b-20g.

true information, but my car was weird.. when i got my 90gsx handed down from my dad after he broke the belt. i thought it had the stock 14b cause the car was NEVER taken apart. for some weird reason it had a small 16g on it. always wondered why it pulled on my friends stock 14b car on top end a bit. very weird. even had the reversed bolt going thru the turbo and heatshield still on it proving that it was never tampered with.

the td05h housing was used on the 14b, s16g, b16g, evoIII b16g, 18g and 20g. those are all trim levels (more or less cfm) of the same turbo.

ummm.... actually it is more common for it to come with a tdo4 housing, the tdo5 is an upgrade for the 14b. And tdo5's are rarely used on 20g's, the bigger more common versions are td06's on 18 and 20g's.

there is also a difference between a td05 and td05h. i've done quite a bit of research on this along side the vast number of actual snails i've seen pulled from these cars. my 92 gst had a td05h housing and WAS a 14b. the td05h is also the usual compressor housing on the 20g's (unless you're not looking at a MHI turbo). a lot of confusing numbers and names for basically the same things : /

4G63 is Japanese. Talon and Laser are domestic made. FWD suspension= Domestic (i beam suspension). AWD suspensions= Import. I could careless, but without Chryslers help, we wouldn't have the 4G63 in the Talon and Laser platforms, hell we wouldn't even see a 4G63 power plant in a Eclipse here. Go Google it. Its a BEAST. Actually, the D## chassis' were all JDM, the 3G Eclipse though, that's a Chrysler chassis. All cCysler did was contract to make some Mitsubishi models in the US, and have their luxuries (A/C, seats, etc...) put into the line-up and have some of the DSM models badged under them.

I miss my 92 Talon. SOld it for 2500.00. The rare 6/4 combo blue exterior, black interior. Rebuilt motor bored .20, Ross pistons 8.5:1, eagle H beam, ACL race bearings, ARP's all around, new oil pump, new everything. On the 14b w/7cm housing at 12lbs of boost... I ripped a 13.7 at the track (everything else was stock).  Really happy of the outcome and feeling horrible for selling it. =(

DSM can be named import or domestics. But don't even lie to yourselves thinking that dodge,Plymouth,Chrysler built the almighty 4G63. Mitsubishi needed a partnership to even be able to sell their vehicles in the US. Thus where dodge,Plymouth and Chrysler comes.
