  • WHITE COILY CABLE!!!

  • TROWER........TROWER...TROWER POWER !!! wb

  • I have spent hours playing and listening to different vibe pedals and this one is the least expensive and best sounding as far as I am concerned. Some out there are $300+ with too many knobs and none sound as good as this and especially not as quickly. For gigging musicians getting to a ton quick is paramount. I think I am getting this!!!. Great vid and thanks!

  • BREATH : PINK FLOYD. o yeah.

  • where should you put it after the wah or after the fuzz? thanks

  • what a job andy gets to try the best pedals in the world 1 lucky man

  • awesome deja vibe copy! i love it one knob rules!

  • Turkey with cheese, this and the EVH are completely different effects. The EVH is flanger.

  • Damn, jimi was the man

  • Breathe...Breathe in the air....

  • Should i buy this pedal or the MXR EVH-117?? I like the size and price of this pedal, but the EVH has more options and settings... and its EVH! Please let me know!

  • andy's not talkin bout those crazy days gone by

  • ... because its not a vibe pedal review without playing "Breath" by pink floyd.

  • I have found that there is a very small band on the internal trip pot that will actuallyi work for you. I set mine to about 1 oclock. If you go too far to the right or too the left you loose the vibe sound completely... very tight area of usability with that trim pot.

    TJ

  • Im contemplating buying either this pedal, or the BBE Soulvibe. Could anyone suggest which one I should get, or a whole other choice? Must be under $150 (USD).

  • If anyone's selling this used, please PM me.

  • fucking trim pot.

  • What is the default setting of the internal trimpot? could someone please tell me what its set on when you buy it.

  • @pikeyo - it is set a little light. each guitar sounds different w. the trim pot - strats, les pauls, SG etc: you need to set it yourself for best results.

  • Would you recommend the t-rex viper over this one?

  • LET'S GO TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT!

  • This one hits the liquid Woodstock tone compared to any other vibes out there I think. I could even rate this one next to the ultravibe. Shame they're so bloody rare in the UK.

  • The pickle vibe doesn't have near the depth of swirling tones that the white vibe or the black magicboy vibe that Andy reviewed. How much of that is due to the internal trim pot setting? The magicboy is AMAZING (but not sold anymore) the white one is still good and the pickle is average. Am I wrong here? Can PGS set me straight? How do I get my hands on one of the magicboy's?

  • @peterbilt1101 The Magic Boy (black or white) have the same circuit with depth trimmer as the Pickle. Yes,

like every pedal, they will sound a little different and not have the exact trimmer settings. We recently got a hold of the last batch of Magic Boys ever so, the Pickle Vibe is the only one currently offered. Thanks,

    PGS

  • @peterbilt1101 im sorry but i couldnt disagree with you more. i just got a pickle vibe and i freaking love it. seriously that's why the trimmer is in there. toy with it to where you want it....i have my set to about the 2 oclock mark......sounds badass with some breakup or a fuzz

  • @melonheed3

+1 on that! My Pickle Vibe has been a sweet, sweet addition and a Helluva great alternative to all the more expensive uni-Vibe clones out there. i didnt even have to tweak the inner trim pot, b/c it came with a perfect setting..any more and it becomes too bassy and/or indistinct.

my one gripe, gotta step on it about 20 times before powering up my rig...that clears the caps and stops the popping. Other then that one thing, I'm SUPER pleased...thanks to this awesome review!

  • this pedal is too simply, too much simply. I taste this pedal yesterday, and sound wonderful with my vintage 62 RI and a supersonic, and sounds incredible with a maxon od808

  • Does anyone know the name of the song starting at about 2:11? A lot of people have been asking about it, but I didn't see an answer in my cursory scan of the comments.

  • @waterpolochamp Just something I made up in the style of Trower/Hendrix. Thanks!

    -Andy

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos nice lick man

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos The track definitely has that Hendrix/Trower vibe...haha, seriously, the intro chord sequence is very close to Hendrix's "Pali gap" from Rainbow Bridge

  • @waterpolochamp - sounds like something from Robin Trower's bridge of sighs from the 70's

  • "white discussion" into floyd! nice :-)

  • @Laurentvb92 its called vibe its almost like a mixture or tremolo and chorus

  • What kind of effect is this? Chorus, Phaser or something totally different?

    Sounds great anyway :)

  • what kind of effects do you use in song hey baby/rising sun ?

its a perfect sound thanks !

  • methinks this cool pedal would be even better with the intensity trim on the outside

  • could someone please tell me the name of the song at 2:12, please!!!!!

  • When you played "Hey Baby/First Rays..." at the start did you have the overdrive activated?

  • add this one to a private giveaway please.... !! :P

  • The one thing I don't like about this (that I DO like about my Microvibe) is that you can't externally-adjust the intensity. When I play out with the Microvibe, I adjust and re-adjust the intensity quite a bit.

  • @gangtwanger - I just bought a Micro Vibe yesterday for that reason; and it was only $5 more, to boot. I played both side-by-side. The Pickle Vibe sounds great and I like the modulation LED, but I gots to have my adjustability.

  • I've heard people say this is a tweaked-phaser as opposed to a true, lamp/photocells, univibe-type circuit. Still, it's obviously-amp=friendly and sounds great. I mean, I have a Microvibe and I STILL want one of these. It seems to work very-well with higher-gain distortion (which the Microvibe does not), and just generally-seems like it would be very-usable in a gigging capacity. Damn, I want one. Can I have one? No? Awww....

  • This is a killer demo. I can't think of one reason not to buy this.

  • Whats the 2:20 song?!

  • whats that first song?

  • @kuringmundo

    @ 1:10? Live's White Discussion

  • @kuringmundo "First Rays of the new rising sun", Hendrix

  • @kuringmundo hey baby - jimi hendrix

  • How come it doesnt sound like the demo at all Andy? I'm confused.. its on clean but it only gives a tremolo feedback when im not playing..

  • What kind of overdrive are you using?

  • Love it on the high frequency settings. This definitely beats the Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe.

Stellar playing Andy, great demo, as always.

  • Soooooo good ... they have them all beaten to the punch! Just waht i neeeeeedd!!!

  • PINK FLOYD!!!

  • mine arrived courtesy of andertons music uk yesterday. can't believe it's the size of a ten pack of cigarettes. Sounds amazing and you only need to 'pop' the pedal once before using it. Works with any 9v dc. Love it!

  • hi ! what the drive you are taking about ??? name or model ???

  • AWESOME PEDAL.. Why cant i buy it in denmark? :'(

  • @o1zeidler - You can buy it on our website and we'll ship it to Denmark. We ship to Europe every day. Thanks!

    -PGS Crew

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos It has been done.. I really like the website, you guys rock.. Thanks again PGS

  • @o1zeidler - Very cool. Thank you!

    -PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos could you please tell me the name of the song at 2:12. thank you

  • oh man, id seriously consider this over the fulltone and the voodoo lab. anyone compared them all?

  • Andy, you never cease to amaze me. I dig these one knob pedals, I don't like pedals with complicated knobs and dials, I like to have a basic rig. Tube amp, wah, overdrive an my Les Paul. But these add on's looking promising

  • Hi,

I know you prefer the PV in front of the distortion. How about the wah? In front or after.

    greetz

  • Sounds really great! How did you mic the amp?

  • @Ramiroocampo - Royer R121 about six inches back, just off the cone. Shure KSM27 ambient mic several feet back from that. Thanks for watching!

    -PGS Video Crew

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos Well, I don´t know how you mixed those two mics there but the Royer seems to be a PRETTY good choice

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos

That must be the trick (Well, that plus using good equipment and knowing how to use it). The PGS videos all have a depth and clarity to them. More-3-dimensional, lifelike, and I bet the ambient-mic'ing had a lot to do with it. Most online-demos sound exactly the opposite.

  • How much is this?

  • @3Dtwin1 130$

  • go buy a KR musical MegaVibe, its a real vibe, the best of the best and most accurate. :-) I got one and now all other vibe pedals are gone, including the effectrode vibe, which is nice on its own merits, but nothing like a real one. :-)

  • Breathe!

  • 2:29* my bad

  • What's the song at 2:26?

  • The LovePedal genius has developed a new circuit to get the Vibe sound and it works beyond belief for such a tiny box. This circuit does NOT have the usual photo-cell old Univibe design. This is something new and that guy is a bloody genius!!

FYI this pedal is cheap, less than $150 as I recall. Order direct from LovePedal. Check out his ODs and the killer Purple Plexi 800.

  • Pedal sounds good but doesn't have the features of the Dunlop Uni-Vibe Pedal which is a little bit less expensive.

  • I have to say I am long time fan of the Univibe/Vibe pedals. I have had several different ones, this little box is a mindblower. One knob such a little tiny box, not sure but it seems it is using a different tech but God it sounds huge!! Lovepedals are bloody amazing! That Purple Plexi is killer.

  • What's the song at 0:40 ? It rocks - And I like it :)

  • @VintageSH its jus the riff written for PGS

  • Just picked up this off Ebay after listening to this demo about....43 times.

I slapped it on the board and did an Open House jam @ an SAE(audio engineering) school....this lil' sweet thing sounded OUTSTANDING through my crap Fender Frontman mic'd w /a SM57...full warble..nice peaks and swoosh...with a wah pedal...just fluid loveliness.. excellent pedal!

  • very cool sound for taking up so little real estate....most of the other "vibes" are housed in quite large "pedal-boxes"

  • i want to jam with andy! lol

  • Comment removed

  • I've got a pretty ridiculous pedal collection going these days and not only is this, hands down, the best value in my collection, it's probably my overall favorite. So small, yet so versatile...every setting from min to max sounds fantastic. Definitely my Desert Island modulation pedal.

  • whats the first song? it has to be a jimi song or just a little jamming from chord to chord,

  • @thmsrojo It's probably already been said but "Hey Baby(New Rising Sun)"

  • Doesn't sound like a real uni-vibe, but it sounds really cool in it's own right.

  • This is sold out, I'd probaly kill for one.

  • i want this

  • these are so small- do they even take a 9V battery, or do you have to use a supply?

  • Fuck yeah, White Discussion!

  • If I had never heard Hendrix before hearing this demo, I would still want this pedal.

  • Lovepedal because I love this pedal

  • This thing sounds great - I have the Fulltone big gold box vibe, also the Prescription Vibe (killer), Voodoo Labs Micro vibe(very good for the money and won a shootout many years ago in Gtr Player mag)

this Love Vibe sounds pretty lush to me I would get one for sure plus it's small perfect for a pedal board...

  • I have one, and it really is amazing.

You guys must think it's probably too good to be true, such a lush swirling tones in such a small box. Well I HAVE ONE, and i can assure you it's worth well its 125 bucks. Amazing pedal! Hendrix fans be aware!

  • Sounds pretty convincing. I've had the dunlop univbe this one sound a tad more interesting although I think this pedal can be tweaked if you need more swish peaks inside. You can get pretty fanatical about univbes I've heard alot of good ones and some so so ones.

  • whats the song at 2:12????

  • this pedal is just fenomenal. A bit picky where you place it on your pedalboard, but it sounds very very good! Sounds best on a slightly overdriven amp. I love it!

  • hey baby:)

  • at 2:12 what overdrive did you plug in?

  • no way!!!!!!!1 That the sound i'm looking for... ALL MY LIFE!

  • omgggggg the lovepedal line has the sexiest cleanest best looking insides out of any pedals ive seen. i bought a kanji and the circut board doesnt fit very well inside its all loose and that kinda sucks

  • THis now on my GAS list.

  • would this be better in line with the input of the amp or in the loop?

  • Probably the loop but it really just depends with your amp, every amp is different. Also I don't think amps had fX loops back in the day, since guitar pedals were just being made, so if you're going for a more vintage sound, that's something to possibly consider.

  • univibes tend to work best in front of distortion, so put it in front of the input.

  • that tone is the bomb, just saw Robin Trower recently and this nails his tone...

  • Thanks for the demo! I'm going to sell my Fulltone Mini-Dejavibe and buy a Pickle Vibe!

  • i picked this over the FTMDV because of the small space it takes up on my board

  • nice pedal man

  • It's basicaly a hendrix pedal :P

  • Great sound !!!

  • Comment removed

  • ordered.

  • Can this do the sound as in the star spangled banner by Jimi?

  • you dont want univibe for that. its just shit loads of distortion and feedback maybe some octavia would sound nice.

  • there is univibe in star spangled banner!

  • a uni-vibe is a phaser, not a fuzz? lmao and he used a uni-vibe on the star-spangled banner

  • technically, this isn't a true Univibe...It's actually more likely a phaser with mismatched staged to generate a vibe-like sound.

  • YES...i have a video doing the star spangld banner with this pedal! chekc it out!

  • @Nimrod9458 get you own sound. write your own songs. jimi would like the fact that millions of peoples whole point in life is to recreate his sound.

  • pink floyd

  • damn that sounds good

  • I wanna know what overdrive you are using?

  • HEY BABAEY!

  • is the over drive running before or after the vibe?

  • White Discussion! Heck yeah.

  • This thing sound fantastic. Simple controls, compact design = win.

Blows the Voodoo Labs micro out!

  • I got mine last week. ITS FUCKIN AMAZING! If your considering it, go for it. Its amazing sound in a tiny box, you'll be blown away. Put the nob at 3 o'clock and hear Hey Baby flow out of your amp!

  • is it as good as the discontinued "vibe" Becuase thats what i wanted? what do you think?

  • What's the song with the overdrive around 2:13?

  • Something by Robin Trower I think

  • what overdrive did you use after the pickle vibe

  • Man, that little thing NAILS the Vibe sounds

  • what's that wild jimi soundn jam around 2:40 ?

  • Jimi in a box

  • @PoposNewGuitarChan - I believe he is, yes.

  • omg this pedal just nailed the Hey Baby sound. Gonna get one!!!!

  • remember he is using an amazing amp and guitar

  • waaal! pink floyd

  • whats a univibe actually do? it sounds like a phaser to me

  • It has a circuit similar to a phaser, with four stages. However, a univibe is different because instead of phasing, it tries to emulate a rotating speaker like a leslie. It also has the signature low end throb andy mentions in the demo that a phaser does not have.

  • It's a chorus and rotary speaker effect in one ;)

  • It is kinda like a phaser, but instead of swirling like a phaser its more of a throbbing chorus type sound. It's really hard to appreciate until you hear this thing loud and running through a big system like the one I play at my church gig. Its so full and that throb can be felt pulsing in your chest. This pedal really is amazing, and I'm glad I bought it.

  • I'm thinking about buying one. Is it as good as it looks?

    Thanx!

  • QUESTION TO EVERYONE ON HERE.

How does the Lovepedal Pickle Vibe compare in sound quality to the Lovepedal Vibe pedal?

I know the vibe is discontinued but I can buy it on my local craigslist.

  • the pickle vibe has a much more hendrix sound then the vibe

  • a tremolo and a phaser pedal will get you a univibe effect easily . not to mention many other possibilities

  • Breath:)

  • Just ordered one of these, this demo convinced me :)

  • i really dont get that black cable thingy, can some1 explain that to me pleaze, btw i love sound of this pedal ;)

  • it's power, dummy

  • Hahaha! It's the 9V DC cable. The pedal is too small to contain a 9V battery.

  • its for a 9 volt power supply

  • Is that Pillar of Davidson?

  • No... It's White, Discussion. :)

  • Hey! Andy, what was the fuzz or distortion pedal used after the pickle?

    Thanks

  • Hi Andy: great demo onece again .. are you running the overdrive before or after the vibe? Which OD are using? Thanks! Pete

  • these must be selling like hotcakes

  • so I'm really thinking about selling my Micro Vibe to get this pedal, but I'm having a super hard time deciding...I think the Pickle Vibe sounds better in your clips, but I dont know...which one did you prefer?

  • i got the pickle & black kanji 9--it's awesome--just like the video from lovepedal

  • i can imagine , your existing stuff would probably sound way better if brought to PGS, since they run their gear into kickass amps / can run high volume / and have an awesome player. to compare they should have micro vibe demo.. tis just my 2 cents. don't get me wrong , they don't fake it, they just run higher quality stuff, at least compared to what I have for sure :-)

  • Which power supply did you use? On the demo there wasn't a pop when the effect was turned on, how did you prevent it from doing so?

  • Any 9v standard 9v power supply will work. These pedals have silent true bypass switching.

    PGS

  • you DO have to tap the switch about 10-12 times to clear that initial "pop"....nothing huge as long as you remember!

  • the instructions I received with the pedal was to plug in and hit the switch two or three times while playing before going to volume with the pedal and that wil discharge the caps and take away the popping sound. I do that before taking my amp out of standby and don't have the pop.

  • Ooh I want one. Sounds awesome! Thanks for another awesome demo Andy!

  • hello, what's the difference between this pickle vibe and the lovetone vibe, just the enclosure or does it sound different too?

  • Sounds great, and I think 'bout buying one. But what about any hums or noises? Does it cause any volume drop ? Cheers :)

  • i'm fairly new with modulation pedals so excuse my stupidity...but is this more of a tremolo or a leslie-simulator?

  • Definitely Leslie/rotating speaker.

  • thats sounds good with the pink floyd

  • what song is he playing at 2:13?

  • reminds me something by Robin Trower...
