  • RIP Luther Vandross and Whitney Houston!!!

  • Whitney got her version of the song and Luther got his version which they are good.

  • i think it was very wrong for the media and those so "called friends of his" to bring up all the shit about him at the time when they knew he wasnt there to defend himself. besides what if he had other reasons for not wanting to get married maybe because of his family's medical condition. and even if he was gay, shouldnt we just look past it and remember him for the good songs he sang instead of criticize him for personal preferences which is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.

  • @ceeta24 The reason why celebritie's sexuality becomes an issue it's because of the need to have role models for younger people who struggle to come out ... and in the american society it's all about role models for everything when one should be able to learn certain thing for himself or herself ... a lot of people struggle on their own and come out as winners in their lives without never having had role models.

  • @Fabian81 Yet what upsets me it's when homosexuality is used to denegrate and unvalue someone's character and achievements .... I would like to believe Luther's friends weren't being mean by outing him even if after his death but for the most part I really hope his music and humanity continue to be his main source of inspiration for everybody either gay or straight and his most relevant feature. Being gay is just one part of us and not our full complete ID.

  • Listen to the man sing for godsake......I loved his voice his looks his cheecky smile and above all his music made me feel soooo good .....so I dont give a rats arse what his sexual prefs were he did it for ME xxxx God bless you Mr Luther Vandross and thank you for the Music .xx

  • WERE ALL JUST HUMANS,JUST PEOPLE,WE SHOULD NEVER JUDGE EACH OTHER,LET GOD MAKE THOSE CALLS !!! THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE KNOW FOR SURE ABOUT LUTHER,HE WAS A GREAT SINGER,A GIVING AND CARING PERSON,WHICH MAKES HIM A GOOD HUMAN BEING, WE HAVE BEEN BLESS TO HAVE KNOW HIM AND WERE TRULY BLESS TO HAVE HIS MUSIC STILL WITH US ! NOTHING ELSE REALLY MATTERS

  • @artisphillipsjr god bless you well said xxx

  • @trampsloads thank you god bless you have a great christmas xxx

  • 2 quote 2pac: Only God can judge me.

  • this song is very powerful one of the best songs that expresses true love

  • loofa

  • luther must have more music out there this aint right are music is dying

  • Luther is just all it.....you all need to just get it..he is and always has been the man....!!!!

  • damn hes good

  • I love this -and , i save this , hold it close -send it on to my lovely wife ! -with all the love in this song , that says what I feel each day ! To my LOVE -, this says it all !

thank you for this post ! :))))))) <3 gus

  • Luther was one of the best vocalist to ever sing a song. He could take any song and turn it into pure gold. He is truly missed. GOD Bless; Luther!

  • Seriously? Who cares what his sexual orientation was? The fact of the matter is that his music continues to resonate across all genres of music and to fans young, old, gay, straight, black, white, etc etc.

RIP Luther. You were awesome. So glad I got to see you in concert in San Diego in the mid eighties.

  • I love Luther Vandross he was one of the greatest artist that ever lived. Damn i miss my dad!~!!!! LOL

  • is it me are his songs make you think of the person you love ?

  • pleaz people don't spoil this great melody with ur sexuality thing I just want to enjoy this over n over again

  • Nice cover but no one will ever surpass Whitney's original. That was when he voice was at its prime and it is phenomenal.

  • @atolm1 and now what has happen to Ms Whitney she ruined her gift, Luther God Rest His Sole left with his.

  • Smooth!

  • i so love this song.. and a male version is even more lovable... Long live one of the worlds Greatest Vocals of all Time..

  • This best male Singer and Whitney Houston Did a great job on this song.

  • SOMEBODY HAVE AN INSTRUMENTAL OF THIS PWEEEEEASE!

    T T

  • What is up with the last comment...Luther Vandross was normai, STRAIGHT Why you ingesting fag shit here, BEAT IT.

  • @cityislynn lol normal? if being gay means youre not normal then no he wasnt normal. gayer than a fucking rainbow. he should have kept the lyrics the same as the original cause it was cock that he liked and aint nothing wrong with that.

  • I love this music.

  • Part of American culture has always been to see the difference in a human being first and commonality second if at all. Yet if our 5 yr old is staring at a 400lb woman walk down the isle of the grocery store, we will tell the 5 yr old, " it is not polite to stare." Hypocrite!!!

  • I'm not sure if I have any superlatives left for Luther........He was quite simply a phenominally talented, uniquely blessed individual who just happened to be not only my personal favorite vocalist (Male or Female), of all time..........but the PREMIERE Male vocalist of our generation (my opinion......but I feel I'm not alone in that belief). It's been 5 years since his passing, and I still don't see "the next Luther" on the horizon. I almost feel foolish for looking.

  • @aliquippawill yeah I agree, I think there are too many singers that rely on autotune, and the art of live vocals is slowly dying, he wasn't afraid to restructure of song or sing with expression, so many male singers riff now and are scared of what they can really do with their voice. It's sad because I think there is talent like Luther's still out there but I don't know if it would be well received by this miley cyrus, britney, bieber generation that don't know good music.

  • Luther vandross, you inspire me to love again

  • Luther ain't gay I think he just wanted to keep his personal life private. And plus he has to many female fans to need a wife.

  • @RonJJunior wow, denial at its finest. have you heard the man speak? have you seen him move? gay as they come honey.

  • @atolm1 ok he was gay so what he can sing and gay man don't make babys he has made loads xxx

  • @trampsloads i never said he couldnt sing

  • Luther had Medical issues I believe that he knew that he had a short time and he did not want to subject any person to having to go through the pain of losing him.

  • Luther could wear a dress with make up and i still wouldnt think he was gay lol but if he was then more power to him because you cant tell me a men with that voice isnt in Heaven he is in heaven singing doing what he does best

  • People just make assumptions about Luther being Gay, just because its hard 2 find gud man who appriciate women and the joys of luv.

  • What a voice, what an elegance wonderful version Ive never heard this. R.I.P. Luther, you have made my musical education all the better with your celestial singing. God bless you brother, gay or straight, it doesnt matter, that is just our mundane pettiness...

  • thanks Baby for sending me this Video. I am glad I am all the woman you will ever need. I love you.

  • which came first,this or whitney's?

  • @darrenriccs whitneys came first, Luther did a cover of this song :)

  • @johnmcgrath6827 i thought luther's came first, it's better anyway...IMO

  • @darrenriccs lol no it didnt come first and it is so NOT better than Whitney's amazing rendition. he should have kept the lyrics the same as the original though cause it's obvious he liked cock.

  • @atolm1 hehe that's IMO only and i don't care whether he's gay or not, i'd even swap my sexuality for a voice like that.. :)

  • @darrenriccs ok you cracked me up with this one, i cant argue with that :p

  • THE BEST THERE WAS.....

  • i miss him also....luther was in my life ...in his song, like no other.

  • Velvet Voice!

  • I MISS HIM

  • I agree Luther was the best and he will never be forgotten i love him!

  • Gay, Straight, Bisexual, Asexual - whatever - people are people. We are all the same. It saddens me that people feel the need to judge others.

Especially a man with this kind of talent. One of the best male vocalists to walk this earth. R.I.P Luther - yet ANOTHER loss to REAL music.

    Always and Forever <3

  • @WhitneyHoustonFanUK he was straight!

  • @WhitneyHoustonFanUK ,thats 1 hell of a comment ,love it ,hes GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN,NEVER

  • @WhitneyHoustonFanUK fuckin well said babes x

  • Luthers sexuality was up to him , gay or straight so what . He was a fantastic singer and songwriter and the worlds a empty place without his talent . RIP Luther gone but not forgotton !

  • @TONYM1966

Luther was NOT gay, he was a normal heterosexual man who loved women!

  • @dcy62 name a woman he dated?

  • @drakealexander1 WHO gives a damn?

  • @pcorry10 you are right. that doesn't make him less of man or artist.

  • @TONYM1966 he was not gay

  • @SydneyAusralia If your a Luther fan you would know he was gay .Secret lovers was his way of coming out .Oh and he admitted it on Oparh Winfrey .Sorry mate but does it really matter bout his sexaullity he was a genuis and god he is missed

  • Watch interview with Oprah Winfrey sayin how he felt when his wife left him! and see his life, how it was! Luther wasnt gay! believe even if he was would that change the man he was dont think so! I know he wasnt gay! so stop stupid rumours folks!

  • Luther wasnt gay!

  • @glorvilla love luhter despite whatever sexuality he was he was a great singer . but oprah outed him as gay in one interview and he admitted it i saw the inteview

  • yes so true!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i could not give an infintesable fuck what his sexuality was.. i love his music. end of story for me.

  • his sexuality gat nothin to do with his talent! the man had talent, may his soul rest in peace......

  • People speculate too much about other people that it's embarrassing. How do you know for sure he was gay? Because one guy said so? You don't believe everything you hear. Because he did not romance with a woman? What if he's asexual and not thrilled with sex? The guy was a musical genius and geniuses often get engaged by their works that they forget to allow others in.

No one knows what his sexuality was--he didn't "out". So, it would be dignifying to stop all the speculations.

  • Is Luther Vandross dead ?

  • Yes for four years now.

  • ahhh yes

  • OH!! You should hear Whitney Houston sing this song!! Phenomenal!! Sad to say, but her voice will never be the same.....

  • everytime, everytime, I listen to "All the man I need". And I feel sometimes so sad, that God gave someone such a gift, and they took it for granted. Whitney's voice will never be the same and in that song she was more than an angel. We must never take for granted what God gave us !

  • Only the Blueprint of Love songs could have pulled this off! Luther is surely missed! Peace to all his fans and all those that know real music!

  • romantic song

  • Luther was king. His songs bring out the inner emotions like no other...man...beautiful music.

  • You're right about that. There will never be another Luther - EVER. His pipes are pure gold and his songs touch the heart AND soul.

  • Luther,your voice was like an angel....so sensual,so warm,with such a velvet....

    RIP

  • for me i love this song but its a love hate song :( love ya xxx

  • "Glaube denen, die die WAHRHEIT suchen, und zweifle an denen, die sie gefunden haben."

  • he had soul...

  • anyone have him singing this at the B.E.T awards 2001 for the Whitney Houston tribute?

  • Warum spielt die Sexualität eines Menschen überhaupt eine Rolle ?

Who cares if he was gay or not . If he was - good for the guys , if not - good for the women. Always that stupid babble!

This one of my favorite covers and and my fav from luther ! R.I.P.

He had such a good voice !!

  • yeah what has his sexuality got to do with it who cares ? its about his voice and his musical talent i will always love him

  • guys luther was a homosexual so what?

  • He was? Well I don't care he was gay. I like him.

  • There are no words to describe the power of this song. You can feel it in every part of you: Body and mind, spirit and soul. It takes hold of every part of you. To find musicians nowadays who have this level of shear talent is just impossible.

My heart is truly saddened at the loss of this man.

  • love this renditiion

  • I agree!

  • one of my favorite song ever. we'll never forget you Luther...

  • Father of Soul. Won't be forgotten, period

  • LUTHER VANDROSS

    THANK YOU FOR BEING.... GENIUS

RIP... Best wishes... thank you again

  • His true feelings about love and life always came out on his songs and its such a shame he could not sing what his heart really cried out for. His passion in his songs speaks volumes about what his love for another man means to many in the gay and lesbian community and what how stong and true it was for him. rest in peace Luther.

  • yup thats right he was gay... i dont know why people gave you thumbs down for your comment

  • Hell everyone knew that, Luther felt by annoucing that, it would terribly short-circuit his career, a damm shame really. I was at the wake in New York, and sister's were faiting left and right, I had to pick up and console at least three. Luther is loved and missed period.

    Sy-

  • Who12 - are you sure? He sings like he belongs with a woman! He has the most soothing romantic voice - could listen to this all day long !! What a tragic loss to not have him around now. I don't know which of his songs I love the most !

  • oh yea luther was sweeter than hot chocolate on a cold day lol. no but yea he was gay, but his lyrics were for women cuz if he talked about men it wud be too wierd. but he is still one of the greatest.

  • OK - but he sings the greatest love songs - it's hard to believe he was gay. It's OK but his songs are about women !! Still love the music though - the lyrics in all of his songs are sooo beautiful. No one like him !!

  • yup he was a great singer no matter his sexual desires, believe it! i was shocked too... and two thumbs down on my comment wow!

  • I believe you - it's just that the lyrics are mostly about a man/woman relationship and they're beautiful ones. Love them all. Wish he was still here so I could hear him in person.

  • i know, just imagine how it wud make people feel if his lyrics were about a man/man relationship. and yea i wish he were still here too.

  • Luther 's songs were about LOVE (.)

  • Yes they were - and I love every one of them - listen to them constantly - they all hit you right in the heart.

  • Yes, they do! I was 11 or 12 when I first fell in love with Luther's Bad Boy Album and have loved him ever since.

    R.I.P. my Darling Luther!!!

  • One of the best comments on YouTube! That was about the time that I first heard this timeless legend and this classic album! Peace!

  • I love the lyrics in this song - it's a true love song - very romantic.

  • You people you bitch and you moan (lyrics from another Luther song) Who cares which is best! Just enjoy the music you Muppets and bring some happyness into your lives instead of feeding the world with your negativeness. Put a cork in it in other words

  • more soul from the soul man himself as for whitney, well it was cool ,but this version of Luther's is more romantic, two thumbs up!!

  • love iiiiiiiiiiiiit:D:D he da bom:D

  • u think i like luther version better, its more soul in it! but who came out with it first!

  • actually, I think Luther did backup singing in the original song. But Whitney did her own rendition before Luther. Luther's version is clearly closer to Whitney's than the original

  • i think so too.

  • Both versions of this track are great. God bless Luther and Whitney.

  • nice song...

  • Hi - To xxxPiaxxx from Roger

  • i like whitney's version better

  • Luther's version is better!

  • wow really i had no idea thnx

  • All The Woman I Need - Luther Vandross

  • It was original a Sister Sledge song in 1982.

  • To think that both Whitney's & Luther's version are produced by hit producer Walter Afanasieff. Whitney's version is so full of power & passion while Luther is so tender & sweet.

  • @LNQS Narada Michael Walden I believe is credited as producer of Whitney's version.

  • Actually Whitney released it on her 1991 album "I'm your baby tonight". Luther later released it on his 1995 album "Songs".

  • i like his better cause..well...im a guy!!

  • It was a cover of Whitney Houston's but both are freakin' good! And now I'm looking for all the tracks of both singers in Youtube to listen! I'm only a teen too :)

  • hello.u must be kidding....luther recorded it 1st, whitney did a cover ;-)

  • Luther did the over

Whitney did her's in 1990 and it was #1 on the HOT 100.

  • do your research whitney recorded hers first.

She's actually the one that made the song popular because it was out almost 10 years before she released it.

But when whintey covered it the song blew up and was a #1 hit.

  • Thanks!

  • Oh thank you thank you for adding this!!! Been looking for it since Chikezie sang it on Idol!!!! yea!

  • lol thats the only reason i looked for it as soon as chikezie did it, hes freakin great!

  • smooth vocals, perfect timing, a full tone, and a pure instrument for a voice is simple Luther!

  • im only a teen but i love this song fo sho!!!

    =)

  • love(X1000000) this song! Luther will truly be remembered as a vocalist's vocalist.

  • thank you sooooo much!!!

  • oh thank you so much!!!

i was waiting sooo long for this song!!

  • thats a cool song !i heard checkizie eze sing it on american idol and its pretty cool
